Why post this in a thread outside of the 2019 recruiting thread? Take a look at the last two-three pages of pissing contest rubbish and you'll know why. In the meantime, the young man has some serious wheels, east and west, north and south! Enjoy.

but that's the wrong approach. there are a few ways to bring a recruiting thread back into focus, but the best approach, IMHO, is to make recruiting posts there.

His patience, vision, and balance look to be great attributes. He plays like the fastest kid on the field (notice nobody ever catches up with him even with the angle advantage). Good hands, as receiver and at safety.

Why the We are...Penn State! At the end of the video? Was this video made by a Lion fan or in effort to get a offer?

I'm sorry Tom, but that 2019 recruiting thread has too many miles of zero knowledge based speculation, biased wackos posting in it along with a host of jerk off provocateurs with no other purpose but to mismanage gallons of testosterone with 5 or less functioning brain cells. It is sad because Judge Smalls and others have tried to keep the thread in the rational vein and not outside the outer limits of human input to no avail. I think we need a fresh start.

to each their own. a new thead is not happening (or, if it does, it won't stay around).

As a monitor, I tend to stay out of the YEAR Recruiting Threads unless they become an absolute mess. How people define "an absolute mess" is subjective, so there's no reason to debate it. That said, I've not needed to get involved all that often in those threads. They typically self correct, in large part because folks want recruiting posts in them, not the other crap.

For those on thread view, it is difficult to get any recruiting news on this site anymore. That is why check TOS for that news. I guess I don't understand why all recruiting news has to be in one thread.

The first page says ‘PSU VIDS’ and ‘@NittanyNation’.

Hey Tom thanks for doing a tough or even thankless job with this board.

I was thinking with regard to the “Recruiting Year Threads” if at a particular date say Aug. 1st or Sept 1st, could they be finished and then restarted. Because of how long the threads have gotten. Just a thought from the stand point that sometimes there’s a lot of pages to go through when you are trying to “catch up” or trying to look for particular info.

Just a thought. Considering that we would have threads that are multiple years long.

Thanks again.

He's not a burner. That's probably why he's a 3-star. What he does have is excellent balance and good vision. He also looks powerful. He's not going to run away from or even around guys at the D1 level, but he'll run through them and get yards after contact.

Based on his tape he's an OK prospect. He's not going to be at the top of their board as far as RB goes, but he seems like a nice plan B kid.

Really? What is his 40 speed? Just curious.

I don't know, I'm just basing this off of his tape. He doesn't look fast on tape to me. I could be wrong and he could run a 4.4 forty for all I know, but he doesn't look it on tape. If I had to guess as to why he's a 3-star that's probably why.

He's a Temple legacy FWIW. His father, Anthony Young played at Temple in the early 80's.

If I had to guess it would be that he hasn't gone to many camps. You gotta pay to play and get stars early on. I am not sure what videos you are watching.

That's also a possibility. I base mine off the 247 composite and the other services also have him as a 3-star. I know that Rivals wants you to attend their camps and if you don't you pay the price in your ranking. So yeah, pay-to-play.

I also checked to see what kind of competition Coatesville plays and they are 6A so he plays at the highest level in Pennsylvania. I don't know if district 1 is good, though. He could be faster than I think he is. After all, I'm not a football scout. I'm basing my entire opinion here on the one video I watched (the one in the first post of this thread) so people should definitely take my evaluation of him with a grain of salt.

Coatesville will be the solid favorite to repeat as District 1 champions.

I know we'll get into this later, but the PIAA has altered the 6A brackets this year. They have flipped D3 and D11/D12 to the other side of the bracket. In other words we could get a St Joe Prep/Pine-Richland semi on one side and Coatesville/Wilson West Lawn on the other.

Here is Coatesville's schedule:

Wait. Thread view is an option again?

He plays against very good competition, especially come playoff time

As good as Aaron Young is, QB Ricky Ortega makes that team go. The kid is only going to be a junior, but in his first 2 years he's thrown for 5,507 yards and 67 TD's. He's also rushed for 1325 with 22 more TD's. Again, he is only going to be a junior. Against St Joe Prep in last year's state semi he threw for 425 and 6 TD's as a sophomore.

Yep. He’s a stud. Small but very very good
