If it's established that Urban hid malfeasance, he'll likely be fired. It's not been established that Zach abused his wife.
I don't know what she told the judge. I do know that one doesn't have to claim violence to get one.
Whether he followed procedures in 2015 has nothing to do with it, if history tells us anything. Joe Paterno not only followed procedure in 2001 (2002?), he creates the statndard for the NCAA procedure later established. And still he was fired and the program sanctioned in an attempt to kill the program. Urban’s failure is a moral failure. That’s enough for a firing.

In 2015 Courtney claimed abuse. The police investigated and no arrests were made nor did the DA file charges. But Urban should have fired him anyway? And now Urban should resign because he didn't fire him in 2015? None of that is reasonable. And whether or not Urban properly reported has EVERYTHING to do with the investigation.
If he shouldn’t have fired him in 2015, why should he have fired him in 2018?
She may have claimed violence, stalking, harrassment or all of the above. Fwiw, her own mother publicly stated that she didn't believe that Zach ever touched her.

Not only may she have claimed it, she had pictures and texts from the abuser to prove it. Again, he’s not been convicted in a court of law. But a protective order is not just handed out. They have to have reason to believe the petitioner is legitimately at risk.

I doubt anything happens to Urban besides a slap on the wrist... however...1) wonder what some of the other veteran Coaches think ie Johnson , Schiano etc as there is no way Zach’s antics were unknown to others... and 2) you can bet that the coaching staff regardless of Taiwan’s outcome/decision will be put on a very short leash.

McMurphy also posted text messages where Courtney Smith's mother was accusing Zach Smith of DV. At a minimum, given her conflicting stories, Courtney Smith's mother is not credible and would be viewed that way in court by a jury.
You are forgetting the 2009 incident in Florida where he was arrested for a felony for choking his pregnant wife. In that instance, she was convinced to not press charges by Meyer's life coach and Zach grand father Earle Bruce (which his family denies). You are also forgetting the text exchange where he admits to choking her in Mexico, or at a minimum he agreed to her stating that in a text message.
Zach Smith took a picture of his penis in the Whitehouse. Zach Smith had sex with multiple women (staffers and students) in the Woody Hayes Center. He has a DUI that he told no one about. He has broken numerous Ohio State policies (sex in the workplace) and probably could be criminally charged for his stunt at the Whitehouse. The guy is immature and makes rash decisions yet you find him to be credible?

It doesn't really matter if ZS is found guilty. There is plenty of evidence to support "suspicion" of activity, and that is the threshold requirement for UM to need to report. That is in OSU's own protocol. That same suspicion should have been enough to prevent UM from hiring Smith to OSU after the UF incident.
The biggest question about the sex toys isn't that he was ordering them. But that he was having them sent to work. Sure no one would know what the packages were when delivered, but why couldn't they be delivered home? Is it because he was only using them at work?

This is on-campus, in-office malfeasance and I would think that the adults would hold Meyer accountable. There are also questions about what happened to the secretary he was banging. The whole thing is a huge HR and PR nightmare, and rightly so.

Since assistant coaches generally don't have long term contracts......the question is.....how many new contracts did OSU offer Zach? He didn't need to be fired. They didn't need to renew his contract. A muddled personal life, that clearly spilled over into his job should have resulted in a parting of ways. Its hard to believe that a person who exhibited such poor judgement (long standing marital discord, intoxicated driving, penis pictures in the White House, recorded sex acts, having pornographic items delivered to his place of employment etc.) turned the switch and preformed flawlessly on the job.
