It's a boring week if #23 Pitt vs Clemson and #13 Notre Dame vs USC are the most interesting games. Must be the calm before the crazy storm to come.

Starting to see some dents in the armor at Clemson and OSU (with transfers, performance).

Definitely a lessor week as far as major matchups. Maybe there will be a surprise out there outside of central PA.

Okie St is unbeaten and travels to ISU, so maybe the Cyclones can perform up the pre-season talk about them and knock off an unbeaten.

FWIW, Coastal Carolina lost last night to Appy St, so there won’t be any more discussion about them finishing unbeaten.

Pitt is kind of in a "no win" situation with this game. Lose and they are out the top 25. Win and it doesn't matter as much against a down Clemson team and won't move much in the rankings.
As much as I enjoy poking fun at the pitt football program, I have to admit that if pitt and their 2-star and 3-star recruits are able to best Clemson's 4-star and 5-star recruits, then it is clear that Narduzzi and his staff do a fine job developing players.

D1 and pro football have become very dependent on the quarterback position. Take Pickett away or add a better qb at Clemson and totally different game. Look at PSU when Clifford went out.

Oregon-UCLA. Who is best team in the PAC?

Wake Forest-Navy. I think Wake gets upset by a Navy team that has found itself

Oklahoma State-Iowa State. Okie State has a great chance to beat Oklahoma, but they always lose a game they shouldn’t. Do they stumble.

USC-ND. Is USC good enough to beat ND and push ND away from a top notch bowl?

could be but I'm sure not impressed with what Dabo has done with his QB or RB.

Sucks that Iowa has a bye week. I would be tuned into that game rooting for their opponent.
In a way, last week was Iowa's bye

you have to learn to watch all of the games of opponents PSU plays. Sure some of games will be blowouts, but at the very least you might see some weaknesses that can PSU can exploit when they play.

You are right. Rutgers is off this week and cfb comes to a halt.

Colorado St @ Utah St
Kansas St @ Texas Tech
Wisconsin @ Purdue
Maryland @ Minny
W. Mich @ Toledo
BYU @ Wash St.
SDSU @ Air Force
Utah @ Oreg. St.

I am intrigued by the PSU-Illinois. I might be the only one, but hey - at least there is intrigue.
PSU had a grand total of 30 yards of offense in the second half vs Iowa. I'd say there is plenty of intrigue.

Perfect. We are playing 2 qbs, one that may be starting next year. If SC heals, hope not to see them again but plenty to see here.

For Pitt, I would be careful. Clemson still has loads of talent but QB is putrid throwing ball. He has a decent game with no turn overs then Shitters could be shut down. CU front seven is still good. FYI, the Syracuse frosh RB Tucker is fun to watch. Absolute gem find. One of strongest backs is CFB. Wish we had him. He alone makes Cuse competitive

I’ll be paying close attention to OSU v. Indiana. Away game for OSU versus stingy Indiana defense. OSU will win, but how easily they move the ball may be interesting.

Yeah, on the surface, one of the weaker slate of games. Pitt vs Clemson one of the more intriguing, in part, because I truly believe Pitt could kick their ass (no joke). Pitt is clearly playing the best football in the ACC and we all laughed at the “Kenny Heisman” talk 2 years ago, but guess what…he’s squarely in the Heisman conversation. A big game this Saturday would really bolster his chances.
