My wife and her family are Wisconsin grads. My family and I are all Penn Staters.

In previous UW vs PSU games, we received calls from neighbors asking if everything was ok? LOL. Apparently, we were both cheering a little too boisterously. The neighbor was startled when we told them that it was just a football game.

Too Funny!
My wife and I are Penn State grads but my youngest graduated from Wisconsin. It's goning to be ... interesting on Saturday night. I have decorated the tree in front of my house in the colors of the winning team when they go head-to-head. It'll be nice to do it again this year (I have a LOT more blue lights than red).

My wife is far more passionate about Wisconsin than I am about PSU or I should say she is far more "in your face" about her tribal allegiance. I try to keep mine low key.

We should be cautious, Wiscy is good. I have watched all of their games this year and they are a very solid team. They have remained poised and very competitive in every game.

Having said that...I commented to my dad on Saturday "Dad, we are hotter than a fire cracker right now. No doubt about it".

A firecracker laced with kerosene and topped with habanero sauce.

LOL, my wife and I are both PSU grads as is my dad, my brother in law his wife and his 2 kids. My son grew up a State fan but played baseball in college and Robby Wine didn't need a catcher in my sons class.
My daughter on the other hand was determined to venture out on her own and graduated from Case Western in Cleveland and is now working towards her PHD at Madison. Funny thing is I'm not even sure she knows there is a game next weekend, love that girl.

I would still drink all the New Glarus beers they send you after the big PSU victory!

The safe thing to do is avoid marriage alltogether...
Yes, that is decent advice.
My gf is a huge UM fan. I was actually outwardly rooting for UM Saturday while we watched the game, will inwardly silently cheering Wilton Speight's miscues (don't tell her ;))..
After the 2OT, she went straight to bedroom and I had to drag her out at halftime of PSU game. When I did I mentioned Harbaugh's outrage at the officials and how that is the talk of whiners (imo UM and PSU fanbases are the worst about whining about refs). She said he's right, the PI ,the 4th down spot .... I just said - 2 int's inside the 20 and a fumble at the one - no ref could change that, game should have been over before OT, OSU won the game with the big turnovers - She stopped me and said we should just stop talking about it lol
We got into it again later after PSU's win (may have celebrated a little much, given the situation) ,and she repeated we shouldn't talk about it. In hindsight, I was pretty harsh.
Luckily she slept on it and was in good spirits for the drive back home to Michigan Sunday.

Poetic & welcomed enthusiasm but ...

Isn't Sauce water based?
