God, perfect form there. That's me. (I was automatic from outside.)
“Hand in the cookie jar” as my coach always used to say....God, perfect form there. That's me. (I was automatic from outside.)
Not to prolong this discussion but I hate the way some players (John Wall) snap their hand back towards their body immediately after releasing the ball. That is totally a “look at me” move.“Hand in the cookie jar” as my coach always used to say....
Simmons had a bad game but wound up winning it for them on that final tap in. Crazy stuff. Credit to San Antonio for never quitting and taking it to the Sixers physically.crazy OT. Sixers had a made 3 taken off the board for a shot clock violation. JoJo was called for a defensive foul (his 5th) which was challenged, and was overturned. The Spurs challenged an offensive charge call but it was upheld. JoJo was called for a travel, but TV replay showed it was incorrect (the Sixers didn't have a challenge to use, so it stood). The Sixers kept getting the lead, and then getting tied up. So the game is tied with 19.1 sec, and the Sixers have the ball. Tobias feeds JoJo he drives in and then shoots a jumper, and Simmons taps in the miss just before the buzzer (and of course, it's going to replay, but it looks good on TV replay). Call (that the tap was before the buzzer) is upheld, and the Sixers win 113-111.
Should not have been this difficult.
Thanks for posting; amazing to see his speed at that size.An eye-opening reminder of greatness:
What the Sixers need to do now is to stay healthy. Once Simmons returned the play went up a notch, notwithstanding some blown leads late in games, mostly by the bench or sloppy defense after they went up by 15-20. On any given night Harris, Curry, or even Korkmaz can burn you. Juju is passing better and Simmons is getting the ball to alternate scorers and playing great defense. Getting the ball down low to the big man really places pressure on opposing defenses. If they can defend the 3 against good teams they can win. Thybulle comes up with incredible steals and even Maxey when he plays turns it up to a different speed. He will be fun to watch develop over the next few years. This team is really fun to watch now with all this talent. And Doc is really coaching well too- what a difference.
This isn’t true for the east. The 2 and 3 seeds can’t both advance, both have championship aspirations. Feel the gift of the 1 seed (Atlanta or NYK round 2)Unfortunately this time of the year there is hardly any games with full rosters on both sides due to load management and injury issues. I am very hopeful the sixers get the 1 seed and they have a real good shot as they control the tie breaker over the nets and the bucks lost to the Rockets last night about does them in.
Remaining schedule is very favorable as the sixer only have 1 playoff team remaining on the schedule after the Hawks tonight with Miami right near the seasons end. They have Orlando, Houston and Chicago for a couple games. While the nets have Portland tonight followed by a back to back AT Milwaukee. Hopefully the Bucks can win at least 1 and put the sixers in a tie then its just win out.
So awesome
Monday was the first day that the Phillies, Sixers and Flyers all won on the same day since April 11, 2012 and within a week they do it again! When the game ended I switched over to watch the Flyers put in an empty net goal to beat Washington, and then to the Phillies who were still in the 6th inning and beat Atlanta 12-2. It should be free cheesesteaks for everyone in Philly tomorrow.
Flyers are the weak link hereMonday was the first day that the Phillies, Sixers and Flyers all won on the same day since April 11, 2012 and within a week they do it again!
Are there three or four games left? They have to be close to clinching top seed.Sixers defeat the Pistons, 118-104, for their 8th straight victory. And it wasn't even as close as the score might suggest.
