2021 NCAAs

Of course right after I praise Saldate he loses!! He’s still damn good

Actually, it's the Enterprise. The tourney is at the Enterprise Center. Get it?

Trivia note: The founder of Enterprise Car Rental, who has the naming rights to the Enterprise Center, served on the Enterprise during WWII and named his company after the ship.

The History Channel did a great series called Battleground 360 that used real film and CGI to recreate all of the action that the Enterprise saw in WWII. The show was sponsored by Enterprise Car Rental!

I was on a conference call as well that started 10 Central. When I saw Robbie was starting, I suddenly had "phone and internet" issues and had to drop off the call :p Not certain I'll get this fixed until noonish here . Is that wrong?
Ummmmm, yeah....I was checking for phone and Internet problems in your area, and I'm just not seeing anything. We're going to need to talk about the missing cover sheet on your TPS reports last week. I'm also going to need you to come in on Saturday.

I think Navy is showing the effects of Covid quarantine. Also, is it just me or is there piped in crowd noise on the ESPN audio?

That is really cool info. Imagine being able to wear an Enterprise “scrambled egg” hat and say you served on her. Legendary ship

Great start!!! Robbie pulling out the win is huge. He can go with Lamont, Lamont is a big 25 and a savy vet but Robbie should be in this one.

Nice start by PSU in Session 1A.

Please use this for all pre-session, in-session, and post-session discussions. If you're replying to another post, please use the Quote function.

When:
Thursday, March 18, 2 pm EDT

Where:
St. Louis, MO

TV:
ESPNU

Video Stream:
EPSN3 -- they'll have coverage on all 8 mats. You can watch multiple mats simultaneously on your computer, or watch only 1 mat -- you decide.

Audio Stream:
Jeff Byers's radio PBP will be streamed. The wrestling coverage starts at 2 pm EDT. (It does not appear that there is a pre-Session part of the show, but I could be mistaken.) You can access the audio stream at:

PBP:
I'll provide coverage of as many PSU matches as I can (basically, all of them, unless two PSUers end up wrestling at the same time).

Team Scoring:
The best place, IMHO, to get updated team scoring is the Penn State Wrestling Club's web site. You can access the virtual team scoring at:

Mat Assignments:
I post upcoming PSU mat assignments as I learn of them. Others do as well; we try to help each other out during NCAAs. The best sources I have found for mat assignments in past Nationals were TrackWrestling (go to their dashboard) or the Twitter account of Penn State Wresting (@pennstateWREST).

Let's keep it going, PSU
Joe Lee will be in the hole on Mat 1 upon the return. Nothing yet for Carter

Likewise appreciate details.

I may not get to watch at all this weekend -- family emergency -- and yes it is that serious.

Scrolling thru afterward might be the entire tournament for me.

Jefe, I know we have had our differences these past few weeks but that is all minor BS. I wish you and your family the strength and fortitude you will need over these next few days. You and your family will be in my prayers and I hope everything works out for the best. Stay strong!

Question those of you watching. I am at school and cannot watch. I have a former student/player of mine wrestling for VA his name is Justin McCoy at 157. He lost his first round match at the buzzer. Did any of you guys see the match and did he get the takedown at the end or not? thx

Edit to say that I just watched the end and it looked like a TD to me, and with enough time, though it was close. He was given the two by the nearest ref. Issue may have been that the clock shown to viewers might not be the real clock, and time could've run out.
