Did a bit of a deep dive into Rivals visit tracker this morning. Assuming it is accurate, PSU is the most frequented place for a lot of top targets, including many who are "trending elsewhere."

PSU is the most visited:
Tengwall: 10 times; second place 2 times (ND, UMD, Mich)
Rucci: 5 times; second place 3 times (Wisc) (Clem twice)
Leigh: 4 times; second place 3 times (LSU)
Grimes: 3 times; second place 2 times (Clem, A&M, Tenn) (UGA once)
Thornton: 10 times; second place 2 times (WVU & UVA)
Davis Jr: 9 times; second place 3 times (Pitt) (OSU twice)
Penn: 4 times; second place 1 time (5 tied)
Jeudy: 5 times; second place 2 times (A&M)
Farooq: 3 times; second place 1 time (UMD, Miami, A&M)
Wheatley: 5 times; second place 3 times (UVA)
I. Johnson: 3 times; second place 2 times (OSU)

Bottom line?

Maybe the "how many times a kid visited" is the most overrated "metric" in the whole recruiting obsession?

Familiarity breeds contempt?

We dont have that "Hype" atmosphere in terms of facilities, last few years of BCS attendance, perennial top 5 classes, Dabo was charming as hell two Saturdays ago and had a lot of 4/5* kids all eating out of the palm of his hand. These kids all go to what they think are the best/leaders at that time and follow each other-we can thank the NBA for that mentality.

We do however have that "HYPE" game time atmosphere but that's only during the season obviously. I think we are close. Need to get to a BCS game, become dominant again and hope the cold weather is not also a factor

Supposedly Henderson has silently committed to Ohio State on the heels of Evan Pryor committing last week. That is pushing Donovan Edwards to Georgia. Ohio State said they would accept the first two to commit.
