I honestly can't see him beating Ramirez, but you never know.If Facundo comes back and places 5th, I'm sure @CSauertiegPSU will revoke his statement

Impossible. I thought Starocci never gets bonus points! 😉FALL for Starocci.
He was winning all the coin flips early. He's losing them all now. Live by the sword, die by the sword
Yes, I can properly evaluate wrestlers. You okay bro?
Braunagel beat him earlier this year too much closer thoughPayton Hall gets killed 15-5 by Branaugel!! Didn’t see that coming
I’ll play my chips with the coaching staff Clay.I too can play a fun game of ignoring larger context if that’s what we want to do?
Max Murin never lost first round of NCAAs!Exactly.
Not that he was great until January and terrible now. Wrestle these matches, and not substantially better, you'll win about half. Never beat the really good guys but never lose to the really bad guys. Max Murin 2.0
Yeah, I get the people that are saying that he will learn from this. But those people need to rewatch his B1G action, and the last few weeks in duals. He was all defense in the first half of the year, and then he started getting in on the single leg attack. That was good because he really struggled to find an effective attack. But for quite a few weeks he has struggled to actually finish that. And it costs him. I was hoping there would be progress, but today showed it just isn't happening soon enough. I'm not tossing him away because he is a good wrestler, but he needs to get over the hump on offense, and soon.I mean, you could watch the last 50 matches of his career. It’s not giving up, it’s evaluating. You would like to see *some* sort of progression.
Gladly! If Facundo comes back and places 5th, I'm sure @CSauertiegPSU will revoke his statement
He beat him a year ago but in freestyle. He did get in and finish multiple shots thoughI honestly can't see him beating Ramirez, but you never know.
old as old bread, get over it!Does anyone know what mat Pletcher/Carton is on?
Quite true. He has to adjust, though. The end of the season he seemed to lose his neutral offense and in this match he was rather aggressive with good angles on the low single.Glad we didn’t do that with Nick Lee after his first NCAA Tournament match.
Who was the other loss?1 loss and this board goes to hell lmfao. The wack jobs that never wrestled are back, .ust be the first day of Nationals.
It was a mis typeWho was the other loss?
Okay, but Facundo didn't lose that match because of the ref.On one of the scrambles Facundo had Heller in a cradle dead to rights - Heller dragged them both off the mat while cradled, Ref didn't call stalling which was ridiculous.
I heard they're challenging the results, apparently some fraud in the way they counted the points. The 10 seed Rocky Jordan goes down 8-6
Yes, but in OT. Facundo beating Fish again was hardly a given.Alex missed a golden opportunity with Fish's upset of Ramirez. As we know Alex beat Fish earlier this year.
Well go evaluate and leave us alone.Yes, I can properly evaluate wrestlers.
NO NO CLAY WHAT YOU SAID IS THAT THE COACHES STINK AND THAT ALEX PUNCHES OLD WOMEN.Nowhere did I say Alex sucks. Nowhere did I say he’s a bad person! But he hasn’t been able to score consistently against good or even middling competition dating back to high school. He’s shown little growth in that avenue for two years. Yes, a team like Penn State which strives to win the team title every single season should, in fact, see what it’s options are at the weight class and then make the best decision it can given the information at hand. If that’s keeping Alex at 165? Great! But explore your options.
is iowa training through the 1st round? they seem to be off
If you are going to win close matches you have to dedicate to a ride for more than 2 seconds. If you not going to score a lot take advantage of each position.Yes, but in OT. Facundo beating Fish again was hardly a given.
