8 bonus in round 1 is a good start. Didn't expect it from Bartlett obviously, was hoping maybe Haines/Dean could pick up some but SVN doing what he did was amazing.
Some huge second round matchups. SVN vs Paniro, Dean vs Allred, and Carlson vs Bartlett. Also Facundo vs Ramirez in the consis. And I can’t forget to mention that we get round 3 of Starocci vs Washington!
How often do you see 285s stick guys with suicide cradles (Kerk) and butchers (Hendrickson)? Friggin’ awesome.

Thoughts on first round. 8 of 9 is great. Facundo was disappointing, and even more disappointing that he drew Ramirez right away on the backside. Unfortunately looks like 1-2 BBQ for him. I feel like that third period for SVN was like the moment in superhero origin movies where they start discovering their powers. LOL, Kerk. That was crazy. Off to basketball for a couple hours now.

It's a shame, I think if Robbie had been healthy the last 2 years, he would have had a solid shot at the podium with how much parity there is after the first 2. He was R16 as a freshman when he basically started his true freshman season in February after recovering from shoulder surgery and COVID.

To be fair, the 28 seed was Killian Cardinale. That was basically a QF caliber match.
I thought it happened in 2014…But I admittedly do not track such stats.

Overall great session. Got some bonus and good wins. I need to watch that SVN match again but this time with Byers on the call.
