2025 Big Ten Tournament thread

Davis going for a claw ride after getting rolled and giving up 2+2 wasn't the smartest decision obviously. I would hope at this point in his career that awareness would be a lot better. However, he has had limited mat time this year and going through this tournament is no easy task. Walks away with a 4th place finish, and proving (to me at least) he can AA. I have full confidence a podium finish is coming from Braden Davis.

What I can’t understand is why Davis just doesn’t give up the easy reversal. Get your escape and you’re still up by 3. Minimize your mistakes.

Yes. His bias is clear to anyone who knows the sport and watches.
This is his bias...

Davis can beat anyone. He also can lose to anyone. Right now he refuses to bail any position. I disagree with the sentiment that he can’t be a top 3 guy. I actually don’t think it would take much for him to be that.
He wrestles alot like Nick Lee did his first couple years. Hopefully he learns to be smarter like Nick did.

This isn't new. This is a decade plus of info without revocation.

Just like anything else, you can choose to believe it or not.
I would like to believe it's correct.

I just have a really hard time believing the staff would leak the condition of an injury in such short notice, in the heat of the qualifying tournament.

I would say that very generally, coaches that tend to be quite secretive about such things do seem more willing to release good news than bad in situations like this. A mild hammy would seem to match what we all saw, but who knows........
