If FBS was smart like FCS we'd be looking at
Oregon Quarter
24 Ohio (MAC) at 9 Boise State (at 8 Indiana)
17 BYU at 16 Clemson (at 1 Oregon)
Georgia Quarter
23 Jacksonville State (CUSA) at 10 SMU (at 7 Tennessee)
18 Iowa State at 15 South Carolina (at 2 Georgia)
Texas Quarter
22 Marshall (Sun Belt) at 11 Alabama (at 6 Ohio State)
19 Missouri at 14 Ole Miss (at 3 Texas)
Penn State Quarter
21 Army (AAC) at 12 Arizona State (at 5 Notre Dame)
20 Illinois at 13 Miami (at 4 Penn State)
It would be slightly different because we wouldn't have had CCGs games but all conference winners get a shot--everyone is rewarded with a home game instead of the top 4 playing neutral site games
Sure, Ohio probably doesn't have a shot to beat Boise but they get the chance.
Just like Bama, Miami, Ole Miss and South Carolina get that shot to prove them can win a title that they think they can.
And I think the first round sees some upset (Illinois in particular)
