A new trend is occurring in college football. It’s called running the football and teams do not have the personnel to stop it.

Yep. Running is back in style. This week many teams committed to running the ball at least twice as much as passing.
Wisconsin Illinois army navy and many new teams like ole miss with lane kiffen as head coach.

why? It simple. Teams in high school and college have gone towards smaller faster defenders, especially linebackers, who can cover the pass rather than shaking off a lineman, who are great with the rpo but not great against power running. So more and more teams are adapting with more offensive lineman, tight ends and even fullbacks. Wow imagine that, fullbacks.

so it isnt a surprise that Illinois lined up with 7 to 8 guys that were much bigger and stronger than our faster little guys and pounded the rock right at us. Other teams like Michigan etc are starting to do the same as well and adjusting as the season goes on. So it isnt a fluke that Illinois did this to us, it is just Too bad that our coaches and others playing against it were slow to adapt.
