Aaron Mathews offer

Not maybe, he was right. You're a douche, but that is no secret. Hopefully you get through puberty ok, grow up, and never have kids.
Let me get this straight. You jump into a thread to lecture me on maturity and then call me a douche bag. And you think I need to grow up? I'll offer you the same opportunity as the other guy. It's easy to be a tough guy hiding behind your keyboard.

And you prove my original point. STFU douche!!!

I get people called you out for being a fool and it upset you douche. I love internet tough guys. They are so cute. I guess you really are that young and dumb. You'll realize how GD stupid you sound in a few years.

Again, why is it necessary to name call. Just because I share a different opinion. You called me a liar...and I proved you wrong. It happens....now grow up.

OK, how many ships do we have left to give? Could there be a few more we are not aware of? Either way, who do "you" project we can and will still take that are higher rated than this kid? In short, could he be a last minute filler for an "extra" ship?

LOL...ESPN shows his as running a 4.95 forty. If that's true, I can beat him. He wouldn't have an offer from any decent school in the country at that speed. Our O-line runs faster than that. It also has him with ten good offers (Pitt, BC, WVU, MD, NC State, bunch of MAC schools).

The articles I've read on him show him as having "good but not terrific" speed but he's considered a great athlete with great footwork. They all consider him a WR "at the next level".

Be careful, you will be labeled a troll by the Penn State Pravda.

Funny, I don't think he knows what that means. Just the way he used the word makes me think he thinks circumcision means something else.
Confused it with the term vasectomy. As I said, English is not my first language and I sometimes confuse terms. When you learn to read and write in two languages, feel free to lecture me.

That speed just can't be right. Not a kid with legs that long who is also as lean as he is. He should be able to walk faster than that.

My guess..and its only a guess, is that they transposed the 5 and 9...he runs a 4.59 forty....

His hudl profile at one time listed 4.89. Regardless, he isn't competing with any of our DB's. He is a linebacker at best.

Time will tell where he ends up. I've seen better morons than euro trash put down kids due to online profiles.

Kids like Urschel, Norwood, Jordan Hill, and Austin Johnson who didn't have the offer sheets. Windsor was getting trashed last year by idiots like him, but apparently will make an impact in his time at PSU. Some people lack the maturity and class to lay off kids still in high school. It must be a language barrier thing.

Yes, offer sheets do indicate near consensus evaluation agreement for recruits, an inexact science where may big name recruits many times flame out or are over rated. But that does not mean that our coaches won't also discover less high profile kids that can be great players like the examples you mentioned, and many more that JoePa discovered. Wasn't Shane Conlan the last kid offered in his class?? Sean Lee was a mid 3 star recruit. Tony Hunt, a low 3 star. ARob. Chris Baker and Mickey Shuler were 2 star recruits that nobody wanted. Actually, Toney is much lower rated than Matthews, but from the limited game play I have seen he looks like he is a real nice player as well. Time will tell.

You are either with the coaches, trusting their judgement, or you are not. I'm with them.

I believe I said Mathews was a good athlete and had a high upside as a linebacker. I guess your reading comprehension is lacking.

Announcing Saturday after the PSU bowl game. Doubt it's good news for Pitt or a Pat Signal..

Pitt wanted Mathews before Winfree and Flowers committed. Now not so much. His girlfriend goes to PSU so that seems like his choice at this time.

Pitt didn't really want him anyway..... That will be Sunday's headline in the PG and on the Liar....
Already on the Lair ,too small, too short no big deal even if Wade follows him Tard Dog only wants big D Backs no loss. LOL

Yeah, it's not like Pitt can use any more good players. And it's not like you have to worry about anybody flipping, either. Although realistically, nobody's going to try and flip Winfree, so you're safe there.

If CJF want him so do I. But if he has his heart set on playing WR he'd have an easier time of it at pitt than PSU. Matthews is higher rated than either of their two current WR commits, and we are loaded at WR, having redshirted two 4-star WR's this year and with everyone that played this year potentially back for 2016.

But maybe Matthews just wants to come to PSU and compete to get on the field in front of a real college crowd within a game day atmosphere second to none..... It's really a good move on his part if he realizes that choosing a program that will develop him and further evaluate him for his best position is his best choice given the fact that he really has played a number of positions in H.S. including QB.

Yes, Nardawg prefers Rutgers, diamonds in the rough, commits. ;)

Winfree and Flowers are 4 star WR's. Mathews never looked the part in camps at that position. But he can be a project type and does have good athleticism. I am surprised he did get a PSU offer. If it is a "package" deal, not a good move for Franklin. Wade is at another level and will end up where he thinks it is best for him.

Go to 247 and look at the pitt offers for WR's. Matthews is higher rated than the 2 WR commits and none of them are 4 stars, within the 247 or composite ratings. The current ratings take into account all of the completed camp results, but don't add 1.5 stars the way pitt enthusiasts do once they commit to pitt..... Pitt needs serious help at WR, where as PSU is loaded for the next few years.

Talking about "package" deals is about as stupid as it gets. College coaches that want to win big games need every scholarship to count. If CJF offered the kid it is because he believes the kid can help him win games. CJF has a plan for the kids career at PSU that he has discussed with Matthews and his family and no doubt won't tell us.....

We aren't giving away scholarships. I'm sure JF knows what he is doing. And besides, you Lair people are always talking about all the 2-3 star guys you have turning into All-Americans like they have done at Michigan State, right?

In so far as Winfree goes, the history of troubled guys like him turning into big contributors is not good. A leopard can't change their spots, which is why he was not highly sought after. It's not like you had to fend off many big players to get him.
