A little late for this advice, but beyond what everyone has said ( prep is the worst) the key is to eat very light the day before prep. The mistake most make is to feast like they are going to starve for the 2 days they won't be able to eat much. That just makes the purge more miserable. Also, you will be hungry after the procedure - but go light on the greasy foods for a day or two.

Just had my 4th one Friday. Great little nap. My late brother-in-law, a Navy guy, called it "up periscope". And yes, the prep is the worse part.

In all seriousness, just did one several months ago. Despite all the carping and disgust registered by others. I didn't' find it that difficult and the procedure, didn't feel a thing.

I'd like a case of whatever they put you under with, good stuff. The nurse told me it was the same stuff Michael Jackson used to use. I'd call it magic, you suddenly go to sleep, they do their thing, tell your wife what they didn't find, perfect, then you wake up feeling fine. What's not to like?

The prep, not fun but not onerous either. It is what it is, use flavored Gatorade and Seven Up. Keep thinking it will be over in 24 hrs. Good luck!

In all seriousness, ALL HEAR THIS PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. If you're 50 (or younger w/ a family history), get this done! This test saved my life (although my treatment would have likely been a lot easier had I not procrastinated).

It's more inconvenient than anything (assuming you wake up to good news).
