All-Knowing Board:

I’ve got a red-eye flight arriving at Reagan Washington National at 7:00 AM on Saturday morning. Hoping to find a place for breakfast that fits this criteria:

1. Family friendly. I’ll have my girlfriend and her 11-year-old son with me.
2. Easy parking. I don’t have a lot of time because I need to be somewhere later that morning.
3. Would like it to be near some of the tourist sites, like the Washington Monument or Capitol Building. Major bonus would be that it has a patio that actually has a view of something significant.
4. Good food. Can be basic, though. We’d be happy with just pancakes and eggs. Waffle Shop quality is fine for us.

I barely know DC, so possibly fulfilling all the requirements of my request is similar to asking for cheap tickets on the 50 for a White Out game. If so, please go easy on me.

Check out Ted’s Bulletin. Several locations including one near Capital Hill. Old school, great food too.

Well, the most difficult 'ask' on your list is probably the *easy* parking. If you're fine with parking garages or maybe valet parking, your mission will be much easier. Additionally, these suggestions are without knowing budget considerations and preference, so here goes:

1. The Lafayette
The Hay-Adams
800 16th St Nw
Washington, DC 20006
b/t N I St & N H St

Across from The White House, so should satisfy your desire to have a place with views. It is a bit pricey, and parking is likely going to be a garage or valet. It is in the famous Hay-Adams Hotel too.

2. Le Diplomate
1601 14th St NW
Logan Circle

Not near any monuments or anything, but in a cool neighborhood and has probably the 'best' brunch in DC - food is French. It's also a bit pricey and has an outdoor seating option. Still, it would be one of those places to recommend to a tourist because the 'locals' eat there.

3. Fiola Mare
3050 K St NW
Washington, D.C. 20007

This is pricey, difficult to get to, and on the Georgetown Waterfront. If you are open to other transportation options while in DC, I would look into them (cab, Uber, etc.). But, if you're going for something memorable, this should do it.

There are tons of other less pricey, more accessible brunch spots in DC without views - if you're open to those let me know.

Have a great time and enjoy!
