Alamo Bowl (BYU vs Colorado)

College football players playing in a college football game shouldn't be unusual. "Opting out", aka quitting on your team...that should be unusual. But today's athletes are selfish.
Today's athletes accept bowl games for what they are. Sanders and Hunter were playing for money. Not for their teammates or loyalty. It was money poorly spent by Colorado

Deion trying to beat the image that the team stinks. BYU isn't great, but they smoked CU last night. If not for their own "it's a bowl game, let's have fun" plays, they probably win by another TD or 2. (Unless that is their identity, if so my bad)

If I'm Deion, I probably chase the "next big move". He's a hell of a advertiser and promo guy, but I'm certainly not sold on his ability to run a program. Indiana West.

Won't be shocked if he cons his way into an NFL job. But if he's going to chase a college job this is the time. Guessing the future is far from bright in Boulder

I'll give him credit. He is smart. A good coach? I'm leaning to below average, but there is something to be said for riding your son and the Heisman winner to the turnaround.

The NFL will be an interesting thing. Wonder who gives him a shot? He's much more the GM than a HC, but I don't see anybody trying it.

He is far from getting fired at Colorado. I think he has his eyes on FSU which could open up soon if they have another year like this year.

Realistically I think the Colorado "experiment" is a pretty abysmal failure so far. No conference championships, no bowl wins. If I'm one of the "investors" in that enterprise and look at the return on my investment, not so good. The only real winners in the whole matter are Deion, his kids, and Hunter. Most or all of them will be gone after this year. Hopefully this will provide some deterrence to this type of spending in the future, but that's probably wishful thinking.

Yep, Deion couldn't really win big even with 2 of the top 5 players in the country and a pocketbook to go out and turn the rest of his roster over 100% if he so chose.

Hope he gets pounded next season if he stays so that this "business model" dies a quick death.....
