A scenario that nobody seems to be talking about is if we beat Mich. St. and Michigan beats OSU....If Washington loses one of their last two games, it still seems possible that PSU can make the playoff. Another OSU loss will knock them below us...that puts Penn St. at #6. The loser of the B1G Championship is likely below us...now Penn St. is #5. If Washington loses....now Penn St. is at #4.
I believe that as long as Penn St. beats Mich. St., there is hope regardless of whether they play in the B1G Championship. Obviously playing in and winning the B1G would be a big boost, but I don't know that it will be a requirement
