For context, his grandmother passed away this week. It's possible he missed some time to be with family and just wasn't right to play. I'd say him being with the team even if not participating should silence any rumors that something "else" is up.

Sometimes and I include myself....we forget that these are very young men. The are physically gifted, big and strong. But still growing emotionally and therefore very vulnerable. If Lamont missed prep time, he couldn't be ready for the field.....even though emotionally it would have been a great release IMO.

Good post. Especially true when people are writing off redshirt freshmen who are just getting their feet wet in actual games. Ryan Bucholz is a good example. He’s one of the most improved players out there, wouldn’t have been possible if he didn’t get the playing time last year. Im pretty excited how many young players are getting PT, we’ll hear their names more often in the coming years
