Strange. I just thinking of him before I saw this as I read a thread about McSorley and someone said he and Barkley would be up for it next year and someone else said there's a reason no one from Penn State wins, and I thought back to 1994 how Ki-Jana/Kerry kind of canceled each other out and how I always thought Ki-Jana should have won that year but it went to Salaam. Sad to hear that.

No disrespect meant to Rashaan Salaam.

Seeing Kerry Collins in the 1994 voting led me to a comparison.

Collins passing stats 1994
176 -- 264; 2679 yards; 21 TDs, 7 Int

Trace McSorley 2016
206 -- 358; 3360 yards; 25 TDs, 5 Int.

remarkable performances by both

You have to allow for inflation.

"I'll state the obvious. This is a R.I.P. thread where the tone is expected to be respectful."

Sound familiar, Bob?

R.I.P. Florence Henderson and Rashaan Salaam.
Get over yourself, old Nova man.

You're a strange individual trying to instruct this board on what we should and shouldn't do and think.

This isn't an RIP thread. esrc simply asked about RS's death, after which posters "chimed in", including BobPSU92.
