Anyone having short periods where this site locks up?

Yes, and it's been happening for a while. Along with the internet security certificate that pops up.

Maybe it's time to retire the internet and go back to printed magazine articles.

New software that checks for stupid posts. The depth chart is out thread put the new software in a loop....

I'd settle for 10-15 seconds. Security certificate pop-up, adobe acrobat pop-up, Microsoft runtime pop-up, only secure content is shown pop-up. On top of that continuously refreshing ads and then rivals.com is not responding (recover webpage).

It's getting very annoying waiting 10-15 seconds for it to respond to any command.

YE, YEP, YEP all of the above.

Same here. Glad it's not just me. Who's at fault and what can be done about it?

May have to do with your browser getting overwhelmed by all the automatic videos on the site--you get runaway processes that take up a lot of memory.

You people are killing me. This is the third time I've posted this solution. I will add that yesterday my computer got a bug that was able to disable the solution below. I ran SuperAntiSpyware with a full scan and it found a trojan that has solved that problem. Here is your solution...just follow the instructions and ask if you run into an issue.

Use Firefox as your browser. If you don't have Firefox, download it for free at: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

Open Firefox (after downloading) and click on the three stacked bars in the upper right corner of the page.

Click on "Add-ons" and select "Ublock origin" (note: Ublock origin may not be on the first page. If not, click the button that says "more add-ons" and look around. It'll probably be in the list on the right side under "popular add-ons")

(It appears that the latest version of Firefox takes you to the page described below. If yours doesn't then follow this link)
Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
and click the green box "+ add to Firefox"

Your life will change for the better.

You can also add "Ublock origin" in Chrome but I haven't tried it so I don't know the steps. I think an add-on is called an extension in Chrome.

Thanks. Running it in Chrome. Will report back. It appears to be "blocking" shit left and right (the number keeps increasing on the icon).

I knew it was something. Our IT guy was blaming my ISP and my ISP was saying all was well.

I have all of this crap plus blocked videos on Internet Explorer. None of these troubles using Chrome. None.

Working like a charm. Thanks again.

You're welcome! One warning...whenever I exit the browser Ublock origin now is deleted from my add-ons list and I have to re-add. This started yesterday and I haven't had the time to fix the problem. Since it only takes about 10 seconds to add the add-on it isn't a high priority.
