How long does it take to get through? What is it like compared to Beaver Stadium?

For hockey games it is extremely fast. Just walk through a metal detector. No pat downs or brutal lines.

I'll be the guy saying I cant go through the metal detector due to medical implants ;)

I know in Cleveland I walked in with a half gallon of Crown XO in a plastic blatter with no problem. But it was Sunday before Cleveland figured out they were hosting the NCAA Championships. What a cluster f***. On a bright note I was very popular in my section.
It was a cluster ****.

It was a cluster ****.
It was a cluster****. And I was in the nosebleeds (nosebleeds at PPG are better seats). After the first session, they lowered these auxilliary scoreboards and I couldn't see the two mats at the other end of the arena. I sold my Friday, Saturday tickets and drove home Friday night. **** Cleveland.

Very easy. Pretty lax. Will get jammed up once you get through main entrance security because you have steps and shopping.

I just attended the Pens hockey game tonight with a season ticket holder. He likes to park in the Manor Building's garage and walk 8 minutes to the arena. We walked up to the gate on Fifth Avenue which is called the Peoples Gas entrance and he said the line was too long. Then we walked north up the hill past Epiphany Church and turned right on the corner on to Center Avenue to enter the Highmark entrance. We were in within 5 minutes. He said as it was a late game, the crowd came at one collective time and was not spread out.

An interesting tidbit, I know several people who work down at the arena and I was told that the NCAA told the arena that they wanted to ice removed before the mats were to be put down. Not sure what they will have under the mats. For concerts there is a composite material laid down on the ice before the chairs are set.

Hell I'd want the ice to remain for a team like Penn State that can dominate the take downs, and ride like a western cowboy and turn opponents like a rotisserie.

Yeah try to approach an airport with a femur rod, it’s a nightmare.
As for getting in PPG, don’t have anything illegal and you skirt through, moves fast bolts seats 20k and should be a lot of early entry.

It’s a steep view from anything 200, and behind the goal you are looking weird angle it’s high and long, probably if the sight lines play good the best big venue final, from a totality review. Unless you all think public transportation doesn’t exist . Sorry

Medtronic Neuaral stimulator implanted in my stomach and spine along with screws and rods in my spine :) not very fun but the wrestling will be if my seat is cushioned.

The lines at every NCAA I've attended were long to start each day (sessions I and III especially). Apparently wrestling fans like being early, as they arrive before the arena opens, hence the long lines. Saturday morning hasn't been as bad, as it's not quite as well attended.
