This article made me think back to several bad snaps last year that caused broken plays or turnovers (Pitt game, in particular). I wonder if those could have been avoided with the "dead snap" technique discussed in the article? There is a reference in the article to a Vanderbilt center using the technique with Herb Hand, so I have to believe the JF is aware of the technique. I have zero knowledge here and am not trying to be critical of JF or the PSU coaches, I'm just curious what others think . . .
