As I was leaving the stadium yesterday.........

Franklin replacing staff is a much easier fix rather than firing someone with a $28m buyout assuming that is the number. John Scott Jr, Pry and Trautwein have to be feeling a little on edge right now. Or he could actually still get the USC offer and leave. If they lose out, that will force Franklins hand on making some changes.
I have zero idea as to how cf coaching works but replace with whom? Hiring is a management job. Do you take that away from the HC? BTW I think PSU beats OSU.

Let’s see how the defense performs this Saturday. If they keep the game close (i.e. little scoring by the OSU offense) then I will be a believer in this defense. But to me the jury is still out.
Going to get absolutely smoked. The defense has been good (minus run defense this week). But Ohio State will put incredible pressure on our D…and with zero offense, it will eventually collapse.

O$U has a much better run game than Illinois and with play action and the countries best wide outs, it is going to be downhill fast,

In my opinion when CJF fired Kirk Ciarrocca based on the pandemic season where he didn't even have a chance to install his offense Franklin opened himself up to similar treatment. Perform now or you're gone.
Personally I believe it was more about MY being available and CJF not wanting to blow the opportunity. KC was just standing in the way

Like the rest of the country, PSU is so focused on its image, they’ll run this program into the ground. Not “intentionally”.

True, but I think it's also saying that loyalty is a thing of the past. Eventually, that's going to extend to the head coach.
