Fielding Yost’s Wolverines and Auburn 21Auburn has outscored their first two opponents 122-10. They may be the greatest college football team ever assembled.
I do not want to even think this.....but a win over Auburn would have to move PSU to number 1 in the country.
Yeah, like that headache-inducing, cowbell ringing, shut the eff up already cesspool known as Mississippi State. The one thing that will be overblown is the effect of the whiteout crowd on Auburn. I think it will have very little effect if at all considering they play in hostile environments in the SEC all the time
Yeah Temple put up 45 on Akron after Rutgers torched them.Wisconsin held EMU to under 100 yards. We beat a good team last week. AU played Alabama State who had to go to overtime to beat 1,500 student Miles College. They also played Akron, who lost to Temple by 21. Recall Rutgers beat Temple by 47. We have absolutely zero reading on Auburn at this point.
I’ll take the tested team in this one.
Lions 26, Tigers 20 (Oh my!)
I’m thinking more defense, PSU38 ~ 28. Good guys.
auburn has a good offense but has never seen a defense like this.
I haven’t reviewed them in detail but their QB Nix was a huge five star that didn’t play well last year (like SC, has a good first year and stalled last year) their soph RB was freshman of the year last year. They have two all SEC linebackers. Talent all over the field.
but they have a new coach, new staff, and a completely new system as the HC coached boise state last year.
they’ve played two cupcakes and not in front of a white out. Not a lot of good film stuff. Should be a good game
Doesn't matter who the opponents were, any team that scores 60+ points a game will be a test for our defense. Auburn has the best running back we will see all year. Their QB is almost a carbon copy of Sean Clifford. He can be very good at times and a turnover machine at other times.Highest ranked non conference team to visit The Beav in 10 years (?).

Yep Auburn will be wore out from running up and down the field the last two games!Yeah Temple put up 45 on Akron after Rutgers torched them.
I mean OSU plays in hostile environments all of the time too, and we almost always play them tough in a whiteout. Even if the crowd noise isn’t much of a factor, I think PSU players, particularly under Franklin, tend to really show up for night whiteout gamesThe one thing that will be overblown is the effect of the whiteout crowd on Auburn. No doubt it will have an effect. Meat chicken has been in several Whiteouts yet had to call a time out before the very first play in 2019! And I expect this one to be the loudest ever. Just showing our version of Southern hospitality!🤣I mean OSU plays in hostile environments all of the time too, and we almost always play them tough in a whiteout. I don’t think this board is taking Auburn seriously enough though. Only 1 thread so far and it’s officially game weekI'm still worried that the board hasn't taken Ball State seriously enough
Urban Meyer, who coached in the SEC, said the whiteout was a 7 point advantage. The one thing that will be overblown is the effect of the whiteout crowd on Auburn. I think it will have very little effect if at all considering they play in hostile environments in the SEC all the time
We beat team A, which lost to team B. That means we will beat them B.Wisconsin held EMU to under 100 yards. We beat a good team last week. Auburn has not been tested yet, at all, but they have been impressive.
How can we say they have been impressive? It's just impossible to say. The 2000 PSU team, one of the worst of all time, beat Louisiana Tech 67-7. When a P5 team plays a tomato can they are going to run up the score, because they just aren't capable of hanging with them.
The big ? is whether we can run the ball. So far the answer is not really
It’s not just the negative impact the white out has on the opponent, but the positive impact it has on our team. The one thing that will be overblown is the effect of the whiteout crowd on Auburn. I think it will have very little effect if at all considering they play in hostile environments in the SEC all the time
Strongly disagree. The only SEC stadium that might be close in terms of noise is LSU.The one thing that will be overblown is the effect of the whiteout crowd on Auburn. I think it will have very little effect if at all considering they play in hostile environments in the SEC all the time
I'd add the swamp, but we're talking 3/4's the effect of a PSU white out in either case.Strongly disagree. The only SEC stadium that might be close in terms of noise is LSU.
Well PSU has a pretty good coach leading their offense so there’s that. This game scares me. The new Auburn coach spent years coaching Boise State and had a high power, creative offense. This year Auburn has been racking up scores against cupcakes and will surprise a bunch of teams. It will be a challenge to our defense so the offense has to control the ball.
Not sure how many SEC venues you've attended but I can promise you when PSU comes to Jordan Hare next year it will be every bit as loud as anywhere Penn State has played. Same with the Swamp, Death Valley, etc.Strongly disagree. The only SEC stadium that might be close in terms of noise is LSU.
We have a better winning percentage against Alabama than every team in the country except Texas and Notre Dame. If we're their wannabes, WTH does that make the rest of yall?It will be LOUD. Like really really LOUD. Auburn makes mistakes. Good guys 28, Bama wannabes 10
