Back to reality

Media votes are "experts" - LMAO.... and you wonder why you're called a moron. The REALITY is, Mr. Reality, that CMU tied for 1st in the MAC West last year and return as much, or more, than anyone in the MAC.
Well, there are an awful lot of teams that these media experts called to be in the running. Some of these guys should go pull for Oklahoma, Miami, or any of those that have already lost at least 1 game. None of these people have a clue, before the season starts, who is going to play well. Watch the Ohio State fans if their kids lose a game.

Right--Georgia under Richt and others didn't get the job done. Richt was a great guy but should have been fired long before he was.

And they both played down to the level of their opponent more than they should have but, yes, they both won which is all that matters.
Agree. But a lot of "powerhouse" teams do this year after year. Every team has bad games. If you have played or coached football you know that some times you are just flat and there is nothing that can be done to correct it. Good coaching, skill and team chemistry help but do not eliminate this. It just happens. To everyone. You just hope that it happens at the right time and in the right games. Against Central Michigan would be the right game.

Perhaps it happens to Michigan and OSU when we play them this year. Of course, we could beat Michigan and OSU and lose to Minnesota and Maryland. That would obviously be more difficult for the average fan, whoever that is. It's football. Be a fan, and hope your team wins. If they lose, complain a bit and then hope they win the next one. It's much more fun to predict they go 11 - 2 and be right, than to predict they go 7 - 6 and be right. This is supposed to be fun, not like having a colonoscopy.

We beat a bad Purdue team and a worse Auburn team.

And we are 4-0 with a fairly young team that got a chance to play and grow in some tough environments if not against tough teams. I will take it.

I still have worries about the O-Line and the prevent defense giving up 1st downs on 3rd and longs, but overall it was a decent schedule to get a relatively young team ready to play in the B1G. Michigan might beat us with talent, but not because this team is going to be intimidated by playing in the Big Urinal.
