Bad weather for Nebraska

So, I'm planning to come north from Charlotte, NC for Sunday's meet. I've modified my plans to travel on Friday and return on Monday, so I should be fine travel wise. What are the odds two feet of snow on Saturday messes with my weekend? Any idea when such a call would be made?

Accuweather still forecasting 6-10"
Bring your wife and your girlfriend. Stay for three nights and have lots of hotel sex. Get hammered at numerous establishments and whoooop it up. Give us a full report on how the girls dug the trip.

Roar, be careful in your travels.

My dream wrestling weekend is going to hell, Pitt - Oklahoma State Saturday and Penn State -Nebraska Sunday.

The wife has accepted the fact she is a wrestling widow during the season but she doesn't want to become a real widow (a least I hope that is her feelings). She has told me to stay at home this weekend.

Is your Term Life Paid up :) ?

Several close friends/family ready to make the decision to stay home or brave the weather...most leaning towards staying home. Current forecast for State College is 4-8 inches (was 6-10 a couple hours ago), with a noon to 1:00 start Saturday, not ending until noon Sunday, or thereabouts.

As already said, anyone traveling, please be careful.

EDIT: Forecast today (Friday) now says 6-10 inches for State College again, with a 30%+ chance of more than 10 inches. Just north, and towards New England, this storm will be much, much worse. Bad enough for those living in SC.

PSU should allow fans to camp overnight in the gym(s) Saturday night.

Camping/Sit- In over Student Affairs Management, same difference.

Camping sounds good. I've rolled out /up mats thousands of times. One more can't hurt and this one could be the best.

Some of you guys apparently need some advice as to how to handle this type of thing. Lucky for you, I am here to share my previous sales pitch.

Wife: "You need to cancel your trip and stay home this weekend!"

Lionlover: "Well baby, I will stay...if...you make my time home memorable"

Wife: "Of course darling. She proceeded to write me a list of things to do that rivaled the length of the Articles of Confederation."

Summary: It was a memorable weekend for sure.o_O

Mr. Nap, Your response is disturbing on several levels. One, I am booked at the Days Inn. Are you monitoring my computer activity or is it that you are aware I now a good deal when I see one? Secondly, I did not mention who I was traveling with, so how did you know I was a polygamist? Since my wife/wives are staying behind, is it your position they will be happier the longer I stay in PA? :(

Looking forward to an epic pub crawl in two feet of snow Saturday night. Maybe I'll meet another wife.
Most of the Days Inn parking spots are not covered.

If the covered spots are all taken, consider parking a block away at the Pugh St garage, next to the former Skeller. (And by "consider" I mean you'd be an idiot to not do it.)

Pssst...if you don't do it, you may not want to share this with El-Jefe...;)

...any update on SC weather for tomorrow/and Sunday?... better or worse?...
It's almost impossible to tell, depending on which weather service you look at. I'm seeing snowfall totals between 6-20". Looks like predictions are for more now than last night, but less than earlier this morning . . .

Accuweather now saying 8-12 in. for State College area. Was 6-10" earlier today.

Just as important is the timing. Looks to be a noon-time start tomorrow (Saturday), snowing all night, then stopping (or slowing considerably) Sunday morning. Doesn't appear the risk of snow is completely out of the area until dinner time Sunday.

So Roar, knowing this isn't the first time weather is a factor, what are the scenarios that would cancel the match? Outside of Nebbie not coming in from Md...

Can only think of one, and you mentioned it...Nebraska not making it to State College. That's very, very unlikely, given the weather when they'll be traveling. More likely is they (Nebraska) are stuck in the State College area an extra day AFTER the dual.

I'm looking for the board's advice. I paid a premium for 2 tix for this Sunday vs Nebby. I also live 3hrs away. Right now the forecast shows 9-12" of snow that weekend. Would that cancel the dual? What does everyone think- sell now? Wait and see?
Go the day before and take your sled slab cabin is great sledding

ummm.. I have a wedding in NoVa on Saturday and am thinking of driving on up Sunday morn (since 99 takes you right into to town). I am assuming easy to get good tickets out front... will probably need two.

Since you're quoting my post...
I honestly don't know. Maybe not as many as you think, since the folks selling may not be here in the first place.
