Blackhawks first penalty came at the 3:39 mark of the 3rd period.

Seems like they put away the whistles a little, hey ?

Great series.

Lightning only had three called on them....and honestly got lucky as they could easily have had 2-3 more. Saw one earlier that the Black Hawks dodged, but they played their best game of the series tonight.

GREAT GREAT SERIES.....both teams played very well. It could easily have gone the other way. Until the second goal tonight neither team led by more than a goal in the entire series!

Huge Congrat's ILLINOIS... thrilled to see the cup won on your home ice. Was routing for the Hawks all the way (possibly out of guilt for the Esposito/Hodge/Stanfield trade in 1967). Enjoy every minute.

GLOV.....we're ALL biased!

But as I said, the series could easily have gone the other way. Tampa Bay was very very good AND they're very very young, could easily be the early favorite for next year as the Black Hawks certainly will be a different team because of salary cap issues.

Nice to have 3 cups in 6 years, but having done that they were good AND lucky in winning all 3.

The Hawks are a fun team to watch. Congrats.

Thanks Magoo - but BOTH teams were fun to watch. The Black Hawks had only played the Lightning twice during the season, I had no idea how good they were.....they probably outplayed the Hawks 60-65% of the series. Gotta be good AND gotta be lucky.....would be interesting to hear the total number of shots that hit the posts and crossbar for both teams.

I'm just glad a hockey team from Tampa Bay didn't win it. I know they have a good team. While TB beat 3 good teams; Detroit, Montreal and NYR. They are 3 of the least physical teams in the league. Hawks had to grind out their games. Not just out-skate the opposition. Stamkos is my favorite non-Bruin player in the league. Maybe it's their coach. Reminds me of Niles Crane.

It wasn't the final Bettman wanted(He wanted Anaheim/Rangers).

It HAS to hurt Rangers fans: For two straight years they've had the best team in the NHL, and have choked away two straight chances, including the best goaltender in the game, who cannot seem to win that Cup. Someone always comes along and finds a way against them. Too bad.

Not that they care, but the NHL would have preferred Chicago over Anaheim. They wouldn't have got the ratings Chicago brings. The Kings are the top dog in the LA market. Not the Ducks.
