Blame Allar all you want but you can't win big games without wide receivers. Period.

Hey, Aikman, Manning and Brady have all had bad games. It happens.
Not at Super Bowls they didn’t. Don’t think they ever lost a Super Bowls due to their play. Maybe a regular season. Aikman, Manning and Brady stepped up when it mattered. But that unfair to Drew to compare him to three HOFs. But tonight was Drew’s worst game.

Cost 11 points. He missed him twice ( wide open). —Allar has improved a great deal since last year, but he sh*t the bed today. He continues to to throw while falling backwards…. He almost never steps into the throw. Until he fixes this, he will have problems.
—Good season
No...we got 7 on that drive he missed him on the wheel route

Yes. Our WRs aren’t. Great. But allar doesn’t even give them a chance.

Leonard threw to some guys who were covered. Some were caught. Some Were not. But he gave them a shot

Allar just doesn’t throw it

They have much better WRs than we do as I said all week
When is the last time we had a WR run a route so well a guy lost his footing or made someone miss in space?
See. They don’t. They just give them an opportunity to make a play. And they do at times. Allar doesn’t throw it. And if he does. It’s a bad throw (tonight)

Did you watch the Boise State game when they dropped every contested throw? See Wallace against Ohio State I'm what ended up being a pick. Drew's given them chances. They've proven they can't do it.

There is 1 constant in all of this: Big Game James and his 3-15 record when it matters. He always finds ways to lose. Why even call that play? You have piss poor field position and a qb who sucked all night. But that is Franklin for you.
The decision was worse than the call.just throw the ball away.

Drew has habits that he falls back on in stressful situations. He throws off of his back foot far too much and aims the ball. He also tends to rarely look anyone off.

He does....all the time. See my other reply to you. Wallace and Evans are good enough. They're MAC level receivers and we added more MAC level receivers in the portal

Except he didn't call that play. Koltenicky called it and Allar choked on the throw to a clearly covered player.
Isn't it the coach's responsibility to teach his QB not to throw over the middle under pressure deep in your own end? McSorley did the same thing vs USC.

Earlier our CB falls down to give up game tying TD but it wasn't just that. Our high risk D only had one safety back to help Miller.

PSU gets a chance but Singleton gets a procedure penalty and then we run a 3rd down play that everybody in the stadium expected. Was that bad playing or bad coaching?

Then Durant gets a hands to the face penalty but somehow we forced a punt. We have a good 1st down run followed by an ill advised pass where Allar should have known better.

Sometimes players screw up but it happens too often at PSU. Are our players just stupid? Is PSU just unlucky? Or do we have a coaching problem? Those are the choices.

Hudson is a little bit better than what is on the roster right now but not nearly enough.

Hagans has to go. This cannot be accepted if the goal is a national championship.

If you watch Hudson in 2023 you may change your mind. Either way he's not a #1

Two ducks that were intercepted in end zone bailed out by penalties

They were both bad throws that shouldn’t have been made. But it’s also true that the (correctly called) penalties directly impacted the plays and contributed to the INTs happening

Drew was terrible. Penn State was afraid to let him throw the ball and the announcers felt the same way.
Does the staff do enough to instill confidence in Allar? We know that ND blitzes a lot. Our opponents use screens and quick slants to counter the blitz. How often do we do that to help Allar? We had one swing pass to Singleton in the first half then not again until late. For the second week in a row we used Reynolds early then never went back to it. Why?

Penn State will never win the big games under Franklin. Period what more do people need to see. He is a good guy, nice recruiter and beats lower teams. But can’t get the job done in big games no matter what.

Again it's a bad call but you are not winning this game until you put competitive wide receivers on the field.
We had the game won if the defense isn't soft when we were up 24-17. We all knew the WRs were not going to do anything. We have a 7pt lead and 7 and a half to go. Defense needs one lousy stop then we pound the rock on them. We never can make plays when we need to. Hallmark of a Franklin team. Uncanny really. How can we find a new way to lose a big game? Not sure but James will figure it out.

A coach that’s in the national championship game and a lot younger than Big Game James. Do we want to look at the bad games Franklin has lost over the years?
I’m checking my notes and it looks like James has never lost to NI in his whole career.

Look at that ND run play in the first half on about a 3rd and 3. For some reason it looked like we were in a 3-4 set. There was 3-4 yards between the DT and the LDE. ND saw it and ran through a hole that was 15-20 foot wide for a TD!

Either Hagans needs to go, or you need two more receivers in the portal. ZERO catches by Penn State wide receivers. You cannot win the biggest games with this glaring deficiency.
We just about won with a one dimensional offense. We all know about the WR weakness but Allar missed Singleton and Warren on makeable throws. With even an average performing quarterback playing tonight, we win the game.

Oh my God I have never seen a fan base make more excuses for what is CLEARLY THE PROBLEM. ZERO CATCHES FOR ZERO YARDS.

PLEASE STOP MAKING EXCUSES. FIRE HAGANS RIGHT NOW. THIS IS ACCEPTABLE BY ZERO TOP 20 TEAMS AND IT SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTED BY PENN STATE AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT TWO YEARS. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

That was the biggest problem with this team. If we had one of Ohio State's top 3 wide receivers we win this game. Heck, even one of ND's. We did amazing to get this far.
Allar is a kid who has been “coached up” for 10 years. He doesn’t have “it”. And unfortunately we will get to watch it for one more year. I’ve got 5 boys who have heard me say for 3 years he doesn’t have it. They are finally starting to understand.
I don't agree. He made big strides this year. Until I see him with a complete group of receivers to go with his TEs and running backs I'm not agreeing with that. He won same games for us this year. Clearly improved over last year.

You don't win ANY big games with zero catches for zero yards.

T Frank thinks you magically develop these kids into production next year. 😂.

Fire Hagans and start over. If you lose the #47 and #71 portal receivers, it is a push because neither of them are doing Jack shit next year anyway.

Warren down the sideline was thrown off his route. The wheel route to Singleton was moot as we scored. You're basically talking about one bad pass yet catchable pass at the goaline. We gave up 24 points before the pick. None of that is on Drew

They have better receivers because theirs actually fought for the ball
Wallace is an inferior athlete who is not physically strong enough to play at this level. Neither is Evans, who is basically a sprinter incapable of making possession receptions.

For Christ sake blow this shithouse of a room up and get an actual division one receivers coach

When he does give them a chance it gets picked. Tonight. Oregon, Ohio State.

They don't have a chance period. They are awful and we're awful all season. This is the sole reason they lost tonight.

Fix it. Fire Hagans.
