Bo Bassett announces on Tuesday

No. Iowa needs 8 Bo Bassettsto be able to maybe challenge PSU. Even then I doubt it helps much because PSU will have 10 of them and they will be PSU trained.

The only programs 8 Bo Bassetts help challenge PSU woukd be Cornell or OkieSt.
8 Bassets huh.. well if we define ur definition of “8 basset vs psu’s 10 basset “ then that is a wrestler that places in top 5… and next year Iowa got Angelo, Arnold, Kueter, Ayala.. that’s already “4 bassets”. When Bo comes that’s 5 and , most likely, Melvin Miller makes 6… but yeah anyways I agree okie state is the more dangerous opponent if they land Bo but Iowa is not as far off as u think.

Simply my way of pointing out 1 elite wrestling recruit to Iowa is not going help Iowa clase any gaps. Especially considering Bo being Iowa trained he will be wrestling a Penn State trained PJ Duke. On top of that, PSU will have a lineup full of similarly elite kids.

I personally will be shocked if it isn't Iowa. I think they have given him the same pitch as Lee. Come here and become the face. At PSU you are just one of many. Come to Iowa City and restore Iowa to greatness.

It's is a great pitch for a kid. Bring your teammates and we will win together.
I can see the Brands Boys acting like used car salesman's selling Iowa history.
I could see Taylor approaching Bo using his own history of how he and Cael were the spark that started the Penn State dominance.
I can see Cael acting like a Father figure. A calming presence with a resume that can't be compared by the other current coaches.
If I'm betting, I think Taylor and his history pitch with the NIL money and Coleman Scott relocating back to Oklahoma is where my money is going.

Just to be sure that this is not seen as sour grapes in the event Bassett selects another school,, I think that this whole process has been overblown and might be damaging to the psychology of a teenage boy.

I would not be a bit surprised if Bo's commitment includes scholarships and NIL money for his brother and Miller. Miller is family. Having three young millionaires would be pretty darn awesome. To which I would say.....Well Played. Bo might be the only one with that kind of sway. He developed the social media presence along with the work ethic and skill to make it possible. I tip my Blue and White hat to him.

Call me crazy and I might be a little biased due to being local but I'm not so sure perry's ceiling isn't a little higher than bassatts. I know Bassett is more developed now but give perry a year in the Penn State room not to mention he's a M2 kid and we might end up with another kasak

This undersells Kasak. Perry is a good prospect, and not where Kasak was at the same stage.

Coleman Scott is back in Oklahoma? He just moved from Okie State in July 2024, to a coaching job at the anOSU (Ohio State) RTC. Scott was essentially kicked to the curb when Okie State decided to go all in on DT and company.

Perry lost to Bassett's backup who got TF by Bo in the finals

Well shoot, John, I didn’t realize you were a teenage boy. All this time I thought you were a bit older.

But hang in there. You’ll get through this, come what may!

Lets not forget Bo is still a kid. Whatever his reasons are for choosing whatever school he does, its his decision. I'm not saying the figures being thrown around aren't true, and I'm not saying they are. There are very few that actually know and sooner or later it will come out. I know as an 18 year old, if a school offered me $5mil, I would be wearing that singlet. I have a hard time believing anyone would turn down that kind of money. I also heard Oklahoma St offered a private jet for his parents to attend all competitions. Again, who knows what the truth is. If he chooses any school other than Penn State, I hope he does well enough to make that team finish behind the blue and white. When his college career comes to an end, I will cheer for him to bring home a gold in every international event. That goes for Jax as well. Hopefully they both stay healthy. At the end of the day, wherever they choose to attend college, shouldn't be a cause to lose sleep for any of us.

The rest might think you are crazy, I am proclaiming you a "seer."

He's now opening a wrestling school in Oklahoma called The Farm

His family never left Oklahoma. He commuted to Columbus to help with Tan Tom's RTC. More recently has opened a youth club in Stilly called "The Farm."
