I’m less sure on WTF is happening here than MyMar was in the 2018 finals.
Venue looks like they cleared a couple of games from the floor of Dave and Busters.

haha, same here. Like, what's up with grabbing/using the opponent's clothing against him? I'm guessing you can't remove your opponent's belt and use it to choke him out, right?

I don't get why lying on your back looking like a Turkey on Thanksgiving Day is a strong position.
Have you ever watched a UFC fight? A lot of submissions can happen from the bottom position while on your back. If you turn on your stomach and give up your back, you are basically finished.
The people who endlessly hype this form as the be all and end all are probably getting a lot of kids hurt. It's a horrible idea to go to your back voluntarily in a street/bar fight. I'm sure it's magical until your opponents buddy puts the boots to your head.
Reminds me of a fight between a couple of kids I grew up with. One was into martial arts and he starts the fight by getting into a pose. The other kid punched him once in face. Fight over. It was funny as heck at the time.
BTW If you can believe it, I know less about grappling than westing, but I think Bo wins. The kid has such situational awareness and an amazing ability to be creative, unless he gets caught in a submission due to lack of experience, why can't he?
