Says he gutted the front office and surrounded himself with yes man. Called power hungry and given an F on the draft. Said the sooner they fire him the better. Wow!

If the front office was what prevented him from drafting the QB he needed his first two years, then it was probably a necessary move on his part if he had the power.

he learned from Belechick to control everything if possible

he has yet to prove that he is capable of it, but I'm sure that's where he's coming from

Its a major risk reward. If you are coaching and making the primary personnel decisions, the tolerance for losing is very low. If you got a GM throwing his weight around, you can blame a lot on him as long as you aren't blundering specific game calls.

It's really funny how no matter what New England does, they get an A or B for their draft. I didn't like the WR they got in R1 nor the placement. Felt like a good spot to trade down at, and probably got the CB out of Vandy still roughly in the same spot. Source I read credited the pick as the replacement for Gronks physical presence, but he's a big WR, something they don't normally do well with outside of Moss and he was one of the 10 best ever.

Really liked the pickup of the Bama RB. I get why he fell, but think helhe compliment the backfield as the Blount type they've lacked since he left.

Regardless, NE has had drafts that looked good on paper, but didn't produce much in the way of starters and production. Yet, they sign other teams straw and spin out gold for a year.

Pretty brutal re: the “F”.....I’ve seen nothing but several “Ds”.

I dunno... thought I read a few draft grades that had Houston doing just fine.
Agree...nobody knows. This is why the Browns drafting Mayfield last year was largely seen as a mistake last year and Tom Brady being taken in the 6th round. They draft is replete with first rounders that never made it and late picks that end up being all pro. We'll know how well teams drafted this time in 2021 and not much sooner.
