Lol...
C'mon these guys are football coaches and this is a big business. Nothing more and nothing less.
Agree...should have just kept his mouth shut....just looks like a fool.
You may consider leaving a wonderful company when you're stuck under an inept supervisor
But what if you're partly responsible for that "ineptness"?
Is this a joke?
I hate to say this, but Shoop must think Tennessee is closer to competing then Penn State.
They are if you're goal is constant runner up to Bama or whoever comes out of the west. Not to mention Georgia will probably spank them now that Smart is there.
What a bargain Joe Pa was all those years, in every way possible.Lol...

I have no problem with him doing what he thinks is best for his career and family.....on the other hand keep your mouth shut so you don't look like a lying fool.
Well said. Don't blow smoke up our ass. He loved being at PSU last year when he listened and accepted a big pay raise.Yep. Just don't say anything. No one said he can't take other jobs, just don't talk about how you hope to be at Penn State forever and then make a lateral move a week later.
Agree but whom would you listen to: BOB, Lane Kiffin, Todd Graham, Bobby Petrino. Unfortunately, it is a function of the day and age. Gattis tweeted earlier about fans wanting to see coaches hired and fired and not considering the personal side, but Shoop made his bed with his comments.Well said. Don't blow smoke up our ass. I really question this mans honesty. Would be hesitant to listen to him on the recruiting circuit.
Doubt if the "supervisor" had much to do with Shoop's wanderlust. One caveat...in several post game pressers where the D got torched, JF mentioned simplifying the schemes so the players would react more and think less. Maybe there was some head-butting over that this past season. Who knows??You may consider leaving a wonderful company when you're stuck under an inept supervisor

I just don't understand all the talk about hoe he wanted to be at Penn Sate and two weeks later jump ship.
I am starting to think Franklin told him I am not playing this game every year. I do not want someone who is on a year to year commitment. We want someone for the long haul.
A promotion is different. This was not a promotion
...or maybe Shoop left because he sees a bleak future for Franklin and wants job stability.Just maybe....Franklin is growing a pair??? Not necessarily a bad thing I guess. If we knew that was the case anyway.

Just behaving like any business. Looking out for himself. There is no pride anymore when it comes to money.Well said. Don't blow smoke up our ass. He loved being at PSU last year when he listened and accepted a big pay raise.

That's just it - if this is true, it's because Shoop didn't bring Penn State closer to competing. Success at Tennessee with someone elses talent doesn't demonstrate his ability to build a successful defense/program. I would think THAT is what a school should be looking for when searching for a HC.I hate to say this, but Shoop must think Tennessee is closer to competing then Penn State.
Who are all these trolls trying to torch Franklin? You landed Shoop - now go back to your Tennessee board. You can have him. He's a real role model for kids, should fit right into the SEC mold…His players will be serving me at Popeye's down the road.
