Well, rats. Now Steen has to either beat both Brown + Cronin in the winners' bracket, or beat Peterson or Medley in consis.
Steen on deck on Mat 2. Getting my update game started early!
That matters absolutely zero in the brackets unless he also beats Cronin.

Right, but this also forces him to beat one of Peterson or Medley (assuming he doesn't beat Cronin) regardless of whether he beats Brown or not. They both teched him.

An injured DeAugustino or Lujan in condi blood round. He has a punchers chance if he wins 1st match oh missed the Medley /Peterson match oops

Is my math wrong, or does Steen want to lose to Brown because he would get a bye first consi round and then get Medly/Petterson with a really sore arm after they lose to Lee to secure top 8?
That’s one way to look at it. If you lose, then you get the winner of the Medley-Peterson match instead of the loser, but you get the one who has to get torqued by Lee for two minutes instead of the one who avoids Lee. Interesting strategy.
So you want him to use the Tom Ryan strategy? Didn’t work well for Ryan’s kid.
The Lee shoulder torquing will occur in Session 1. Consi Round 2 isn't until Session 2. Same day, but at least 5.5 hrs to recover.
If it’s the same ref as the Penn St/Iowa dual there will be very little torquing because PD will be called immediately

And somehow both Gomez and Hamiti are only 6-1. And Labs is an 8-0 RS Sophomore. Starocci & Kerk are Seniors.

When you are below the elbow the rules say stop it for PD.
I don’t feel like looking up the rule, but “back in my day”, rotating the hand/fist up onto the shoulder for added leverage was a no-no, too (had to keep it 90+ degrees across the back).
Yeah, something like that. I kinda always thought they over did the bar thing, but Spencer's chicken wing is a text book "no-no".
