Brett McMurphy: Moorhead to MSU - finalized within next few days

Not sure it’s a great move for him but wish him nothing but the best.

Morehead was key to turning the PSU offense around. Who does PSU get to replace him? Don’t think this D can go back to low scoring offenses and hanging on to 17-10 victories.

With all due respect to Moorhead, having a QB was THE key to turning the O around!

Coach, good luck at Miss St.

Yes. But that depends if he is tired of working for Kelly - not the warmest of personalities. But yes, you are probably correct.

Coach Spencer to be D.C? I am sure it would be a raise

When people say Ricky Rahne to replace him makes me want to vomit

Why?! I think he is obviously up next and he seems to be very capable
Moreover if Franklin picks him, then I trust he is the right man for the job

Who knows, if things don't work out, he might be back in a few years. That is the kind of program Penn State has traditionally been. That is why there has been so much loyalty to this very special place through the years. Dick Anderson, Galen Hall, Earl Edwards, so many other former coaches have remained uniquely loyal to PSU (and central PA) in years past.

That is largely what brought Franklin and Moorhead here in the first place.

QB coach under Hack(Hack regressed badly) demoted to tight end coach/passing game coordinator needs to stay where he’s at

With regards to this, does it not seem more likely that Breiner would rejoin his old HC?

After that, they could look to the position coaches (and their DC) to get their recruiting connections.

BTW, looking at the coaching roster Breiner assembled over the last 2 years, I see a couple guys with some southern exposure.

Possibly. But he may also look at the rosters and see more talent to work with at PSU.... assuming it ever came to a decision between the 2

Family is from the Easton area. Went to Hershey High and played QB at Lock Haven. And PSU will throw more money at him than MSU will.

All that said, who the hell knows at this point? I mean who would have figured that Nick Saban would have reclaimed Brian Daboll from the scrap heap? That's why these guys are good at what they do and nimrods like Feldman write about it for nimrods like us to read and act stupid about it.

And Hack has certainly proved that his college coaching was holding him back, right?

If Rahne was detrimental, isn't it reasonable to think he would have been cut loose at the same time as Donovan and Hand?

Would he be calling the plays under JoeMo? If not, it seems more likely he would have better exposure here.
