Sources: Penn State offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead will become next coach at Mississippi State. Deal expected to be completed in next few days. facebook.com/TheBrettMcMurp…what?
what?
congrats and good luck to him!
I somewhat agree but if they threw a crap load of SEC culture money at him he would have been foolish NOT to go. If true, good luck JoMo....Good luck but a foolish move.
That job is like being thrown to the wolves. But, Franklin - if anything - knows talent, and Moorhead delivered a high scoring, exciting offense and won a B1G Championship in doing so. I trust Franklin will find someone suitable and good luck to JoMo in the SEC.
Tommy?? What other coaches will he take??Congrats. He earned it. Worried Tommy follows
Absolutely wish Coach Moorhead the best; he did a terrific job at PSU and deserves a head coaching job.
I don't see much in his background (born in Pittsburgh, educated and played at Fordham, coached at Georgetown, Akron, UConn, Fordham, and Penn State) that would suggest a good fit with the SEC and recruiting that area of the country, but he's a smart guy. Dan Mullen was also from Pennsylvania and did well there.

Awesome for Moorhead. Franklin will have his pick of who he wants next working with this talent. That's what a great coach and big time programs do
Good point and Fitz does fit his offenseMiss State has Nick Fitzgerald for another year at QB. Stevens wouldn’t start there next year either.
Hope that we promote Rahne and keep the same system and playbook. No reason to make this veteran offense start over again.
True. Dan Mullen also had been Urbs' OC at Florida for 4 seasons prior to taking the job.Absolutely wish Coach Moorhead the best; he did a terrific job at PSU and deserves a head coaching job.

Most likely but he also just went down with a gruesome injury so you never know.Miss State has Nick Fitzgerald for another year at QB. Stevens wouldn’t start there next year either.
Mark Helfrich is available. Fast paced Oregon offense.
