I think we would disagree on much else, specifically, that the fans on this board like to just bit*h for the sake of it or don't see the HC job for what it is. I think Franklin has been a very poor clock manager(again, coming from a self-described Non-Coach) and I think some of his philosophies can and should be questioned, this is a fan blog after all. That said, he has done yeoman's work this offseason and I hope it results in a big year for the program, for his sake.

Stop and take a good look at yourself. Your life is consumed by coming on here and mocking everybody who states an opinion that you don't like - especially if the opinion involves any of the coaches. Your condescending attitude towards anyone that criticizes CJF or any other member of the coaching staff is really tiresome. Okay, you were a high school football coach - good for you. Yes, you probably do know more about the X's and O's of coaching football than 90% of the people on this board (including myself). But your constant mocking "WE deserve better" and "We are ELITE fans" is really tired, repetitive, old, and worn out.

The irony of the bold sentence is what people are trying to emphasize I think. The only person on the board I see consumed with anything is you and the urge to defend the coaches against the so-called ELITE fans that "deserve better". This is why people are saying look in the mirror. Someone could just as easily ask do YOU live such a distressed live that you simply MUST point out each fan that is critical but doesn't know the inner workings of the Penn State program or football in general? I know he was good enough to be recruited by Auburn....didn't sign after Malzahn was fired. Can play G and C currently listed at 302 LBs. From everything I can gather, he projects as a guy that will compete to be a starter.

Funny how some people complain about the repetitive nature of other people complaining about the coached but seem unable to fathom the repetitive nature of their own constant complaining about those complaining about the coaches - strange and the constant, "you were never a coach so you have no right to criticize or comment on any coach" is the height of arrogance and stupidity. If your philosophy is to get your QB's killed and run them like fullbacks? Yes, from my opinion its wrong. Hopefully Yurcich doesn't believe in the same philosophy, you know, if we ever want high end QBs to play here.
I already broke this down in another thread so I won’t do it again. But Clifford had fewer actual carries than most think. And plenty of staffs use wildcat runs the way PSU uses Levis. None of this should be alarming.
Nope, unless you're Levis it shouldn't be. How many teams pounded their backup QB into the line as much as penn state? Half as much?
Levis is a short yardage specialist. I know that's difficult to figure out. They wouldn't be using him like that if they thought his primary value was QB.
