Magaldo coming on strong, only hope for us! Now if any of your feel happy about it, it is ok, I won't call you bad names. it is part of wrestling.

That really sucks I feel bad for the kid big time! Hope his recovery goes well, he's gonna be a fun one to watch!

That sucks, Mike. Was looking forward to seeing if he could follow up on the early momentum. Glad to hear about the RS though.

Whoa, this is contradictory to everything else I had heard. Unfortunate if true

Man, that sucks. I'm just glad it's not as serious as what they first thought mat side.

Happy? Doubt it.
I guess there's probably a few out there somewhere, who don't want to see 'best vs best', but it's rare for wrestling diehards.
Reminds me of some poster a while back, who ran around to rival team's message boards w/PSU injury news [somewhat gleefully]. Might have been the Nevills inj? Not sure. Don't remember all the specifics, but it was a fan of another school running around starting threads & seeming very excited. Came off as bush league at the time.

+1000

Anybody who's happy when an athlete gets hurt is a douche. I've never understood people like that.

Plus all the great athletes I've ever known welcome competition and want to compete against the best ... and that attitude is often part of how they got to be great in the first place.

it really is the perspective on life.... how can one be wrapped up so much and not have anything to do with it? Love the folks who say 'my team' (especially NFL) and the only interest that team has in that fan is their continued spend..
So wishing ill on someone... then get a life and a proper perspective!

Hope the healing process goes well.....thanks for the update Mike T.

I never take any pleasure in a student athlete getting injured. He sure made quite an impact in the few matches he did wrestle. Wishing him a full and speedy recovery.

I agree, that guy was a really Ahole. Dunkej, at Nationals this year lets look him up and give him a piece of our mind. Two is better than one, I hear he is a really badass. Some kind of Kung Fu Master I hear.

I'm hard-pressed to see a James English-type run at nationals. Am I missing something?

confirmation that the road got harder for the pokes. I wonder when they will announce publicly the debacle at 197/157.....

Not sure if you are missing anything, but he was at 141 at the bob smith open in December. I think we might know a little more if he had not been concussed and was able to wrestle Abidin for third.

I might have miscopied that, thanks for the correction. I'm not sure we need to have seen him against Abidin -- that didn't seem like a very convincing win over presumably Abidin's backup.
