C/S/S all get jail time

Maybe Mike will treat them all to a nice steak dinner or something when they get out to show there's no hard feelings. Since after The Second Mile and Jerry Sandusky, this is essentially the fault of he, his father, and Dr. Dranov.

So Corbett who accepted $600k plus from the Second Mile and then sat on the investigation for years as AG is in the clear. Raykovitz, the head of TSM who was told about this entire incident and told Sandusky to "wear a bathing suit" next time he showers with a kid. And McQuery, who didn't call the police that night and later golfed with Sandusky is not only in the clear, but $10 million dollars richer.

It seems that the judge wasn't only judging the accused. He took the opportunity to stand up on his soap box and pound his chest. He'll no doubt tout his success at bringing people to justice as he seeks a higher position.

I am surprised that some of you are surprised. This judge has three men guilty of endangering children in front of him and you expect him to just let them go away with a fine and a slap? No chance that was going to happen. They were negligent and this was a high profile case. They stood little chance of getting nothing.

I find it stupid that the State spent so much money and time on getting such little results.

JM, Dranov, Joe, Curley, Shultz, Spanier, and Raykovitz all said (in some fashion) that they weren't told about anything that warranted a call to the police. The result:
  • C/S/S get jail time and a fine. Their reputations are also ruined.
  • The university, alumni, and fans have had their reputations ruined.
  • MM could get $15 million. In spite of what the judge said today he will be remembered as a hero and a victim.
  • No one cares what the judge had to say about JM and Dranov. Those guys can live normal lives because nobody will recognize them.
  • Joe's name is forever mud.
  • Raykovitz, his wife, and fellow administrators at TSM get off unscathed.
  • The AG, CPS, DPW, etc also get away unscathed. Talk about no accountability in government.
  • The OGBOT gets away unscathed. The guy who signed off on allowing JS to bring kids into the Lasch Building got the Creamery named after him.

The irrelevant commentary involving non-parties was totally uncalled for and very unprofessional. That judge is a clown.
We should not have expected anything different. Through porngate, lies included in the Sandusky GJ presentment, the judge overlooking Baldwin's obvious Conflict of interest and lies, Ditka's fat-faced whiny, theatrics... The behavior, attitudes and corruption of our elected officials is all too clear.

CSS Comment: In hindsight, had I known then what I now know, I would have asked for a change in venue for my trial to any other place on the face of the earth other than PA. I had zero chance.

'McQueary Field at The Second Mile Stadium'?

Wow. Those guys were given a couple months jail time for one incident in which they didn't personally see or hear anything. Any guesses what will happen to several administrators in East Lansing who were given multiple first hand accounts by a multitude of victims? Then those same administrators did next to nothing? There mustn't be any politics at play in Michigan.

Maybe there was a good reason for the State to spend so much time and money on C/S/S. See 1998, Judge B..........your thoughts.

This judge sounds like Hillary on her "blame tour". Talk about Monday morning quarterbacking. He may regret his admonishment of JVP. Could cost him in his next election.
Boccabella retired last year after he reached the mandatory retirement age, so he won't be running for any elections. He presided over this trial as a senior judge.

I'm sure Roxine will chime in here, she's been all over MSU to feel better about herself i mean get to the truth and stamp out child abuse.

Good info. Explains why he has the balls to throw people who weren't even charged under the bus as well & conveniently left Jack R. of the 2nd Mile off his $hit list who testified that he know as much as everyone else.

In retrospect, nobody ever had a chance. People talk about how bad JS's lawyers were, and that made no difference at all.

Well, Tom said when the facts came out, some would look better, and some would look worse. I'm failing to see how anybody is looking better. Not one person, as I can see.

Also, seems clear to me that as stupid as the OAG people are, they completely played all of the CSS lawyers. They won big-time, and had nothing on these guys, and none of them even tried to put on a defense. ****ing unbelievable. Not one of them defended themselves.

We are still waiting for the rest of the facts; the facts that tell the true story...

To Mike McQuery:

You played a significant role in destroying several lives, the reputation of a world class university and the legacy of the very man who gave you a chance in life.

You have spectacularly failed every lesson in character that Joe tried to impart to you.

Have a nice life

It was bad enough to have corrupt, porn-addled state prosecutors fueling that "anal rape" narrative, but after McQueary's latest stunt - after he sat in Ditka's witness chair..I am stunned. The damage done to so many. There are no words.

You realize Spanier, the man who replaced him, has been described as a "long time friend" of Roskens, right?

Bringing this up does the complete opposite of what you intended.
Is Ronald Roskens going to jail for his actual acts of pedophilia? Or did the Nebraska Board of Regents cover it up and allow him to retire as a valued member of the UNL community?

well at least now we can finally move on...so sick of all of this. time to build penn state back up to where we all know it belongs

Sorry, but you're dreaming. How do we move on when just today we read about parents whose son died a tragic death in a fraternity (and which had absolutely nothing to do with football) at least implicitly blaming his death on the football-is-king culture at Penn State as evidenced by Sandusky? Any future incident will be tied back to this presumed look-the-other-way culture. It will never, ever go away, until and unless someone at Penn State stands up to it. And I believe someone will. It might not be for 20 years but someone someday will stand up and say enough is enough.
