Can you recall your greatest memory of event(s) at Rec Hall?

As a mere student, being allowed to rehabilitate my severely injured knee (in the reserved work-out area) in the presence of many gifted athletes who happened to reside in West Halls and were not only compassionate, but also demanding.

NoVa Lion,
Yes, great weekend at NW in 2011....5 champs, and outstanding performances on the back side resulting in a Big10 title, and the start of this crazy run we are enjoying! Also fond memories of James Vollrath's pin for 7th place that added 2 team bonus points, in the 1 point team championship margin over Iowa!

1968 NCAA Wrestling Championships. I was only 12 so I don't really recall much, but Dan Gable won his first NCAA title that year. I had no idea who he was until 4 years later when he won a Gold Medal at the Olympics.

4theglory54 I had a few beers with you and your son one night when BIGs were at NW in 2011. I was also there when he pinned Tshirt.

Pretenders, J. Geils and Phil Collins. Almost beating Alabama in basketball in December 1982.
In case no one picked up on this:

Alabama came to Rec Hall, and I think was ranked at the time. As it was December we were slated to play Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.

At the end of warm ups, the Bama players took off their warmup tops and underneath wearing blue shirts that said “Go Penn State! Beat Georgia! Be #1”.

One of the coolest moments ever.
