For those thread view people.. You're on here 23 hours a day. If you leave, what are you going to do?

If you find somethig better to do with your time, great. If you know you've got something better to do, it's a shame it took this to get you to do it. If you're leaving because you don't like change, i suggest you take an Ativan.

Lighten up. We're one big happy family now. No more outcasts. Now all you have to do is follow along in chronological order.

I'm not sure Ativan is the drug I'd recommend for thread view anxiety. Maybe Xanax would be better.

But where does this one big happy family thing come from? I was a topic view guy myself, but I didn't realize that maybe our big family here had two discordant groups.

The thread view were the headline readers, often never opening up the post. Some here only read posts by certain people in a thread.

How often have questions been asked that go unanswered because the intended recipient doesn't open posts and see it?

And I know that people don't just plainly ignore people around here. It was two different spectrums.

Huh. No wonder my questions were never answered. I'm on the cosmic shitlist.

Well, it will be very interesting to see how this plays out. I remember someone doing a poll that showed the demographics of this board. As I recall, the average age of a poster was around 50 or so. Many of those people liked thread view and hated topic view. Will that cause them to leave, or will the older posters adapt?

Personally, I will be interested to see if the change weeds people out, but I doubt it. I predict that a couple of people making the most noise about hating the change will not leave.

Nothing wrong with hating the new format, which I do. It will change my viewing habits. Thread view is much more converastional and several discussions can be going on at the same time.

I won't whine about it but it will be missed for the sake of its efficiency.

I was criticized when I revealed that I was using and preferred topic view, and not by just a few. Yeah, it's difficult to comprehend why others would be upset because a person preferred one format over another.

Actually, you can teach an old dog new tricks, but the old dog must be receptive and not obstinate,

Old farts, young farts, just farts can't handle change.

Why shouldn't a thread view person be upset. They are paying for a service and just had a key feature of that service removed.

If you think this is an improvement - why? Do you realize you could have had these extra bells and whistles with thread view as well? It isn't an either-or.
