Penn State Wrestling Fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since my last update we have had several exciting weeks. On November 17th we helped Binghamton set a new attendance record for a home dual while getting a convincing win 40-2. That same weekend on November 19th we had 7 guys crowned champions at the Keystone Classic and had an opportunity to watch a lot of our team compete for the first time. On December 3rd we had a fun match with Lehigh while helping them set an attendance record as well with almost 10,000 people showing up to watch us battle it out to a 23-19 victory. Finally, yesterday we had our 37th straight sell out in Rec Hall with over 6,000 people once again showing up to watch our guys score a lot of points in a convincing win over Indiana in our Big Ten opener 44-3. Most of the crowd even stuck around yesterday to watch the heavyweight bout in which Nick Nevills opened up his offense on his feet. I will mention no names (Nick) but some heavyweights tend to take it personal when people leave during their match so we told him if he did not want people to leave he was going to have to keep scoring points. Nick did a nice job like the majority of the team of continuing to try to score points yesterday.
The team will now go home for a few days to spend time with friends, family and probably with their local high schools or clubs to get some mat time. After they have had a few days to celebrate Christmas they will come back to school to get ready for the Southern Scuffle and the second half of the year. The guys have done a great job so far and will continue to improve like they do every year in the second half of the season. We have a lot of exciting action to look forward to including five more home matches in the second semester. We greatly appreciate the support of our fans at home, on the road, and those that follow us via the internet. There is absolutely no place like Penn State.
