....had many quotes...such as "Most ball games are lost, not won" .... and after the first few practices with the expansion Mets, he held up a ball and said, "Gentlemen, this is a baseball!". I must say that I am glad I do not gamble...for I would have lost my shirt on this initial game. I was sure we would see improvement from our play in the Pinstripe Bowl. There seems to still exist hesitation as to assignments. Coach SJ is spot on in his analysis. I do not understand how the coaches could whiff on game adjustments. What I would really like to know is what critique Haslett delivers. After Spring ball, Summer conditioning, Pre-season camp, and game week camp, to emerge with such a lack of ability to protect your quarterback, is simply unexcusable. I feel bad for Hack, and especially the defense. Losing 3 LBers hurts.
