Cenzo is looking amazing. Shields is no joke and probably the 4th best 165, and that match was never in doubt. Cannot wait for him to meet Marinelli!!!
Wasnt Vinny’s bonus win over Shields last year the first bonus loss of Shields’ career?
No Dice
The ONLY way to kill trolls is to ignore them. I hate blocking people, but judicious use makes the board easier to read.Goodness guys! I go from one thread to another to read about wrestling and Iowa vs PSU slams seem to dominate. Can we have 1 thread for you who like to do that—go at it, and let the rest of us read about wrestling?
Exactly. Why are people replying to this guy?The ONLY way to kill trolls is to ignore them. I hate blocking people, but judicious use makes the board easier to read.
That, is interesting. By year he was 22-4, 25-2, 27-2, 4-0 (PSWC) -- so he needs 22 more wins. With the remaining (advertised schedule), and assuming he gets 8 matches at B1Gs+NCAAs, and wins them all (a reasonable assumption ) he'll be four matches short. Not going to the Scuffle this year and the Black Knight Invite didn't help... But I'm glad he went to the Farrell instead.By my math, even if Cenzo wins his third title this year, he won’t reach 100 career wins. I realize I ‘m answering a trivia question nobody even asked, but I was surprised to see that. He needs 22 more wins. He has 10 more duals, B1Gs and NCAAs. Nick Lee looks to be next up to follow Mark Hall into the 100 win club.
Cenzo has missed several matches each year due to being dinged up, which doesn’t help his win totals.By my math, even if Cenzo wins his third title this year, he won’t reach 100 career wins. But man does cenzo have some awesome moments in some awesome matches. Moments that will be remembered for years to come. I still watch that throw of imar when he was a freshman. Not even that match but the throw of massa earlier in the tournament to win. What a champion. I hear that I kept telling my buddy during cenzo's senior year in high school he was going to be one of the great ones. Lot of people didn't believe it. Think his first a lot of people thought was luck. His second against imar may have been more impressive because of how he controlled the matchThere was a time when Cenzo was the least appreciated wrestler by the fans. Soph year, consensus was he was the least likely to repeat and not everyone was convinced he'd finish top 4.
So, yeah, really pulling for him to take the Hodge.
And if that means he needs some help, so be it.
The match I remember most was the Quarter Finals comeback to beat D. Lewis. But man does cenzo have some awesome moments in some awesome matches. Moments that will be remembered for years to come. The second match may have been more impressive because Martinez spent the entire year preparing for the inside trip, and Cenzo hit it anyway. It broke Martinez.I hear that I kept telling my buddy during cenzo's senior year in high school he was going to be one of the great ones. Lot of people didn't believe it. I swear so many people forget how good IMar is because of his 2 finals losses to Cenzo. 4 time finalist, 2 time champ? He's an all time great.

2nd best 2xer ever??
Varner also a 2x champ/4x finalist, and he won Olympic gold.2nd best 2xer ever??
Not even close. Gable, DT right off the bat.
IMar knew he was gassing and that throw attempt was the only chance he had left. The first time Cenzo beat IMar was hardly a fluke either. He was up 6-5 with RT (1:00 exactly but still) He was also up 2 TDs to 1. IIRC, IMar's first TD was kind of questionable as well (Cael/Casey did not like it) It was definitely an upset brewing but he was outwrestling him.
It wasn't like he was down 6 and got some lucky throw, he countered an upper body attack perfectly. IMar gave up after that, even if he avoided the pin, he's down 12-5 with even more riding time accumulating.
Yep. Not quite a Hail Mary, but definitely a desperation attempt while he still had a little bit of gas in the tank.IMar knew he was gassing and that throw attempt was the only chance he had left.
I took a huge amount of pleasure in watching Bo fight off his back in the 2018 Finals against MyMar.Yep. Not quite a Hail Mary, but definitely a desperation attempt while he still had a little bit of gas in the tank.
p.s. I take a perverse pleasure in some of the truly elites attempts at fighting off of their back. Kind of like when a Tour Pro shanks a 3 iron.
I don’t know if you remember the match between Wade Schalles and John Chatman but Wade set up the elevator just like Bo did and the results were the same.I took a huge amount of pleasure in watching Bo fight off his back in the 2018 Finals against MyMar.
