ASS. BEATING. o_O

cincinnati leads, 38-3, late in the 3rd quarter.

Fickell making a strong case to be the next Penn State head coach. He’s moving up Sandy’s short list. o_O

Let's just say we have a job opening at some point in the next 5 years.

Do you hire Fickell knowing he's probably working his way back to the Buckeyes?

He's moving up my short list and my list is really short.

That said, his wife is on record as saying that neither she or Luke are nomadic and she doesn't see ever leaving Ohio 🤷‍♂️

Fickell will be the next OSU coach after Day returns to the NFL in 2 to 3 years

It is my understanding that it did not end well with Ohio State. Fickell was not very happy that he did not get a chance to be head coach

That’s because they wanted a shot at hiring St. Urban.

He stayed on with OSU when Meyer hired him as his co-DC and LB coach. He had many offers but chose to stay with OSU until he was hired by Cincinnati in 2016 as their HC. I read an article where he stated that OSU made it clear to him that they would consider him but would also look heavily at more established coaches. He had OSU's 2nd losing season (6-7) since the mid 1960s. It wasn't all his fault though, as he lost many of his star players for the first 5 games of 2011 including Terrelle Pryor who decided to quit and head to the NFL. He basically had nothing at QB in 2011

Temple had been doing better since they got their QB back but Cincy's D has some serious speed. They might not stuff the run vs the top top teams but they can fly aroun' out there with anybody. Their QB also throws a really tight, accurate ball.
I watched for about 10 minutes and Temple whiffed on several easy tackles and muffed a punt (led to a TD). Cincinnati is disciplined and well coached, but their average level of competition is crap.
