Geesh, grumpy old man. It’s Saturday night. Why is he even working and posting anything? So you post old news because you have no new news?
How about this one...
Shawn Clifford No longer appears on PSU's roster. 😁
Just because they walked on senior day doesn't mean they couldn't return. Both had eligibility. So you post old news because you have no new news?

Except CK announced he was not coming back weeks ago MW... After watching the Rose Bowl... Was a real good bet.Just because they walked on senior day doesn't mean they couldn't return. Both had eligibility.
You young guys have no sense of humor...Geesh, grumpy old man. It’s Saturday night. Why is he even working and posting anything?
Go back to sitting on Jeff Dunham’s lap.
Pushing players off the team in this fashion is rarely a positive. It should be beneath us. The only time it is an acceptable process is AFTER the player has graduated or stopped seeking a degree. My take is that coach Franklin is taking a more aggressive position in processing players who have little or no shot at being major contributors. This is a positive thing for the PSU program and in some cases good for the players to move on with their life’s mission.
Is 4 years of eligibility enough? 5 years?Pushing players off the team in this fashion is rarely a positive. It should be beneath us. The only time it is an acceptable process is AFTER the player has graduated or stopped seeking a degree.
Who said a player was pushed off the team? One random message board poster just suggested this on a whim on a Saturday night, but hey let's criticize the coaches. And by the way, Paterno often told 4th year players not on the two deep to move on with their lives, aka no scholarship for year 5 remains.Pushing players off the team in this fashion is rarely a positive. It should be beneath us. The only time it is an acceptable process is AFTER the player has graduated or stopped seeking a degree.

He‘s had several significant injuries in high school and college requiring one or two surgeries And very well may be hanging up his cleats.Except CK announced he was not coming back weeks ago MW... After watching the Rose Bowl... Was a real good bet.
Injuries come one after another for some young athletes while others are KO'd by a single injury and others rebound from what are devastating to others. We all heal differently. If only we had a crystal ball. He‘s had several significant injuries in high school and college requiring one or two surgeries And very well may be hanging up his cleats.
Few if any of us here really understand the grind of D1 football. It's a full time commitment with academics added on. Struggling to see the field and injuries compound the task. I have no problem with roster decisions (either by player or staff) after 4 years have been honored.Injuries come one after another for some young athletes while others are KO'd by a single injury and others rebound from what are devastating to others. It's acceptable because Franklin specifically tells a player and his parents that the standard is for every player to graduate in 3 years. i.e. he promises their parents that their son will get the support he needs to finish a degree from PSU in 3 years. The academic support to accomplish their getting a degree in 3 years is available to each player. And that deal they sign on for is basically over after 3 years, and if a player is not contributing on the field and the staff believes that player is unlikely to contribute on the field for the team that player's "contract" with the team is pretty much over. Pretty simple. It seems to be a great plan that works for all parties involved. I don't understand why a player would want to stay on the team when the coaches have told him that he has pretty much zero chance of seeing the field if he stays for a 4th year.Pushing players off the team in this fashion is rarely a positive. It should be beneath us. The only time it is an acceptable process is AFTER the player has graduated or stopped seeking a degree.
