Following Penn State's 39-0 blowout Illinois this past Saturday [Oct. 31], there should be a lot to talk about here in the Lions Den regarding the Penn State football program. There is no doubt whatsoever the Nittany Lions, 39-0, blowout victory was Penn State's best combined offensive and defensive performance of the season. Many even believe it was Penn State's best overall performance of the James Franklin Era at Penn State.
Keeping that thought in mind, what does Penn State's dominating performance against Illinois indicate for the rest of Penn State's schedule with its three remaining games against Northwestern, Michigan and Michigan State? Can Penn State carry over the momentum it gained with its win over Illinois into its game against Northwestern on Saturday? Is Penn State's offense and defense as good as it looked against the Fighting Illini? How does Penn State matchup offensively and defensively against Northwestern? Would a win over Northwestern on Saturday mean Penn State's program has turned the corner coming off NCAA sanctions and is the program close to once again becoming a top 25 program in the country?
The above mentioned questions are just a few of many questions that we can discuss here in the Lions Den. That's why I'm excited to chat here with our Lions Den members starting this afternoon at 1 PM here in the Lions Den.
Penn State's football program is once again relevant and I believe much sooner than many may have thought possible. So, let's get together here in the Lions Den at 1 PM this afternoon and talk some Penn State football.
