Check out Nomad's Nolf vs Berger career scoring

Too bad they don't have two categories for escapes. E1 for a true escape and R1 for 'releases'.

Then I suspect the E19 might look more like R17, E2. I don't know if I recall any escapes but will assume he might have grabbed a fluke here or there.

I'm not sure that I can remember a match in Jason Nolf's entire career where he truly needed to ride someone or needed the riding time point for the win, so yeah, escapes against him don't count. Even the more or less "real" escapes, but he's always willing to ride but also willing to cut a guy when the guy makes a real effort. I'm sure he's probably given up at least a couple of escapes at the end of a period, but whether those were actual escapes or a reflection of Jason just forgetting how much time was left in the period.....

Micah Jordan might disagree with you .... if he can move his shoulders after last year’s NCAA semis. :D

If memory serves, Pantaleo took bottom last year in the duel going into the 3rd down 4-5 and Jason rode him for the entire period to secure a 6-4 win. He is a savage on top when he wants to be.

Pantaleo in the Michigan dual last year was about as close to it as you get. Jason was up 5-4 and rode Pantaleo the entire 3rd to win 6-4 by RT. Pantaleo actually won the TD battle 2 to 1 that day. That being said, really impressive Jason just changed his MO up and decided to ride for 2 minutes and successfully did it. Also, I remember people were saying the whole team was exhausted and looked off more or less that day. (Bo probably should have lost to Abounader or at least gotten taken to SV)

EDIT: Beat me to it ^

Pantaleo, Jan 12, 2018. Nolf up 5-4 entering 3rd period, rode Pantaleo the entire period for the 6-4 decision.

One of the very few matches in Nolf's career where he had fewer TDs (1 versus 2) and more escapes (3 versus 0) than his opponent.

I recall last year when Nolf got hurt he wanted to continue wrestling ... told Cael “i’ll Just take top and ride it out”!

No doubt he could have, only thing is, it wasnt his choice.

Sure am rootin for JVB Thursday morning, I would expect some Zain style pain distribution Thursday night.

I'll guess it ends up 22 escapes and 7 stall warnings. Clearly Berger is better at both.Unless you put Nolf down 23 times in a row. Not sure if Jason could catch him in stall warnings ?
