Comcast in my area is showing that BTN will be televising the Big 12 wrestling championships.

No mention of the Big 10 championships.

>sigh<
I saw that in my Comcast guide too. Can't believe it. That would be like showing a Big 12 football game while the Big 10 championship game is being played. The only way this would make any sense at all is if another station (ESPN, Fox Sports, etc.) was showing the Big 10 wrestling championships and the BTN had to fill the time slot.

It is obviously a mistake. I don't think for one second that BTN is televising another conference's championship. Comcast has some issues. I bet I know of someone who is outraged.

All the sessions appear on the BTN2Go app, so clearly BTN is doing the tournament...

I am stuck with Comcast. No other option out by me. Sucks there is no competition and this monopoly is allowed to exist.
You can't get a dish, dsl, or a wireless internet provider? People always blame a/the "monopoly provider", when they have other options, they just don't like their other options any better.

Dish: I live in the woods. No sightline for DirecTV or Dish network to satellites.

FIOS: They do not provide service to me.

So, I have a defacto monopoly due to location.

B10's on Flo (I believe you have to be a subscriber)

B10 Wrestling Championship Central (You can get to BTN2Go from the Livestream link inside...probably need a BTN2Go subscription)
thanks for the info and the links; I'm really hoping these program listings for the regular BTN channel are a mistake.

It would be hard to fathom that BTN would show the Big12 event INSTEAD OF the B1G event

Don't know why any of you think the BTN would be showing the Big 12 since they don't have the rights. Obviously, someone made a mistake, because if you go to the BTN website they show all of Sessions I. II, and III as being on BTN Plus with the finals on BTN. Lots of angst over nothing.

I agree, for the most part, but when my Direct TV guide says Big 12 wrestling on the BTN channel, I say- UGH:(

Content on "guides", including descriptions, is provide to TV distributors by a few specific companies. Here is a snippet from a deeper description of how the whole system works:
Standards for delivery of scheduling information to television-based IPGs vary from application to application, and by country...
Devices embedded within modern digital cable and satellite television receivers, on the other hand, customarily rely upon third-party listings metadata aggregators to provide them with their on-screen listings data. Such companies include Tribune TV Data, Gemstar-TV Guide (now Rovi Corporation), FYI Television, Inc. in the United States and Europe; TV Media in the United States and Canada;

This is what I saw over a week ago. I’m good.

Abd BTN2GO is better priced than Flo.

Update:
DirecTV now has corrected the listing and does show B1G Tournament on BTN channel - live Sunday at 3:00 PM Eastern time

You would think so. Let's keep in mind though it was the words and actions of the Big10 Commissioner at the conclusion of the 2016 regular football season, insisting the Big10 champion was an undeserving selection for the College Football Playoff, that has resulted in the last 2 Big10 Football champions being left out of the Playoff series.
So it might be a bit presumptuous to believe Big10 administration acts in the best interests of the Big10.

Sucks that B1Gs are still behind the NCAA tournament when it comes to providing coverage. I have Flo/BTN+ but I have family members that enjoy wrestling but aren't super fans so they only watch what the can see on TV. They won't get to see any of it besides the medal rounds

It is sort of surprising what the BTN is showing Saturday afternoon. Looks like Swimming and Diving Championships (not sure if live) and Indoor Track and Field (which was last weekend).

Dish had the Big 10 wrestling championship finals at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon all along. I'm sure the others made a typing mistake as Dish often does.

What I don't like on the BTN is basketball 24/7 and only the finals of wrestling when the BIG is the top national conference in wrestling. Why reruns of bball when they could have at least run reruns of prelims in wrestling as a fall back position late a night when ad revenues are likely lower? At least we could DVR them and watch them later.
