Ok, so we are 9 days from the Tourny and Nick Suriano's ankle will be the talk until then but I think PSU could get 5 guys into the Finals and if Suriano was healthy it could even be six. At 125 Nick was the 2nd best wrestler before he got injured. If not for the bad ankle injury we all would be expecting a Gilman/Suriano final. At 141, who the heck knows what to expect, jimmy is capable of beating anyone, but he could also lose and be done. Your guess is as good as mine! Zain and Nolf are complete animals, I just don't see anyone beating either of those two. If Cenzo can stay away from Imar in the semis, then I think he could get to the finals, he looked great against Jordan. At 174 Hall is capable of beating anyone in his weight class. I personally don't care if he gets seeded 4,5 or 6. He is a just that good! At 184 Nikal is absolutely capable of getting to the finals, whether he is either the 2 or 3 seed!. Cutch I think will finish 5th thru 8th. And Finally Nick Nevills. If he can find a way to get the 3 seed, I think he can beat Medberry. All I know is we are Blessed to be able to watch SO MANY great wrestlers!!!

Nato is not a lock. He has had a bunch of close decisions. BoJo not a lock either. He will be vulnerable before finals. He has to keep his weight in check. He has had some close matches and a loss. Martin with 8 losses def no lock. Moore also no lock for finals.

NaTo is favorite, but only won 6-4, 6-5 & 5-4 and will have to see one of Brock / Clark / Micic in semis. That's no guarantee.

You are in "Melt Down" my friend, Hall, Nickal are just as much "Locks"as a few you list for tOSU....tOSU had a great Tourney and it will be a dog fight to beat them and Okie State. But have faith in the Spyker Factor....Suriano has been healthy for awhile now and was showboating his limp......He obviously is a guaranteed finalist!!

We CAN win it without Suriano, IF AND ONLY IF, Jimmy goes 6th place or better.
That will give us 8 scoring wrestlers which is what we need.
Collica has scored one point in three matches against Zain. I am not counting the stall point in the most recent match. Collica has limited Zane's offense but he can't score. Until I see it happen again the closeness of the Sorensen match earlier this year was a fluke.
The way Nato looked at Big10s--I think there is a good chance he gets upset--Bojo is far from a lock--IMOP----Martin depends which Martin shows up.----Moore and Snyder--I agree with you But this is D1-- upsets every year.

NATO's a lock for the finals wrestling all those 1-point matches at B1Gs? Huh? BoJo's a lock? Martin isn't making the finals regardless of the draw as Brooks demonstrated.
Even if The Pokes get 8 AAs they still won't score more than 115 points (most of their potential AAs are lower level AA types). PSU put up 123 points with only 6 AAs last year (25, 33, 49, 57, 74 & 97), but he keeps claiming we can't win with AAs at 49, 57, 65, 74, 84, 97 and HWT with 4 of those weights (49, 57, 74 and 84) having an excellent shot of wrestling Saturday night.
Nato was a ref with eyes away from losing to Cory. He grabbed the headgear which should have been a point, but benefited from a one point penalty that I still don't see the leg kick in. BoJo looked huge, but a morning weigh in can do that. Lets see how he looks in his quarter final. He hasn't looked unbeatable this year by any stretch. Hall,Realbuto,ZV, and even Meyer could beat him. Moore will have a guy in the semi who has already beaten him twice. Martin has 8 losses. He is untouchable as long as he doesn't run into Dean,Brooks,Bo, or any number of other guys on his way to the finals. Snyder is a lock. I bet Nolf outscores him in this tournament. Nato is a stud but Zain will outscore him. Bo will outscore Jordan while Cenzo outscores the other Jordan. NN will outscore Moore while watching his buddy Cutch come pretty darn close to out scoring Martin. One legged Nick will outscore Pletch and Jimmy will out score burcher. This leaves Mark hall against JRod. Is JRod your big hope, because if he can't outscore a true frosh it isn't looking good for OSU.

Question for the scoring of Nationals. Assume a wrestler makes it to the Round of 12 and gets knocked out before AA, with no bonus points bouts. How many team points will he earn for the team?
Depends on whether they have a "pigtail" match I believe. You're saying how many would they score if they lost in the Champ Bracket quarters and then lost in the R12 of the Consi Bracket (i.e., Consi quarters). I believe they would score 3.0 points via advancement points without any bonus or a pigtail match (I think I did my math correctly as it would imply they were 2-1 in the Champ Bracket and 2-1 in the Consi Bracket, but I think they only get a 1/2 point for advancement in Consi Bracket).
Zane is now in super-beast mode ... he brings it out every March. No one is going to touch him at St Louis.

Round of 12 = lose in quarters and then lose first consi match. That's 2 wins in the championship bracket, no placement points, and (in this instance) no bonus points.
Therefore, 2.0 points, unless the wrestler also got a pigtail match -- in which case it could be 2.5 (consi pigtail) or 3.0 points.
