That deal is just a handshake away.
How does that make him a good candidate for O line coach? I could see if you transferred an existing coach from one position to another, but why hire an outsider with no relevant experience in that specific role?
I am not a fan of Edsall at all...the way he pulled that handshake crap...and besides...does he know anything about coaching the line.

Why is being an alumnus your primary qualification?
The sanctions emptied the athletic department of alums. Most schools honor their alums.
When I was in a hiring position a PSU degree was a tiebreaker.
We owe some of our more recent screwups to non alumni misreading the PSU tradition and fan base.
Being an alumni should not disqualify you but it seems to do that. The words national search mean no alums should apply.

Sure. Schedule him for a 9PM interview. Let him sit 30 minutes and deliver him a note to call a phone number. Let it go to an answering machine with the message, " Let the rivalry begin"!
